Best Trimmer Ever Used - Ecstatic About this Purchase
I love this nose trimmer. I just received it 30 minutes ago. I usually don't write reviews so quickly, but this nose trimmer really deserves a 5 star review. I've owned several nose trimmers over the last 15 years, and some have been real torture tools--so bad that I tossed them out--really disgusted with them and absolutely appalled that manufacturers would even bring them to market when they cause that much pain. I had an original Panasonic from almost 20 years ago that finally burned out. Panasonic didn't make that one anymore, so I tried another Panasonic--bad idea--just ripped out my nose hairs instead of cutting them. I purchased another battery one (forgot the brand name) and it too was extremely painful to use. I finally gave up on the cordless models, purchased a Trimmit Nose Hair Trimmer and settled for Platinum XL Nose Hair Trimmer for the past 5 years. This last one works well if I am careful to turn the end as I push the cutting tip into my nose, but because the motor is your fingers turning the end, I must stop pushing it further into my nose while I'm winding up my hand to spin the tail again. If I forget to stop pushing it into my nose when I'm not turning the end, the trimmer then acts like a massive needle nose pliers and painfully yanks on the hairs in my nose. It also requires the use of two hands and is a slow process. I've missed the speed and comfort of the old Panasonic that stopped working after a few years and decided to look on the internet again for another brand. I'll never go back to Panasonic after they tortured me with the last one. Today I tried this new ToiletTree Nose Trimmer, and I have to say that I was completely uptight about using it half expecting it to yank out my hairs like the other poor performers. I was about 3/4 the way done when I realized that it just wasn't bugging me at all, even though my face and whole body was tightened up fully expecting pain. It's still going to take me a while to get used to the fact that it works quickly and painlessly no matter where I put it in my nose. I have had to deal with itchy nose hairs for the past few years because of poorly performing nose hair clippers, and I'm extremely relieved to have found this trimmer. It cut the hairs much closer. Even when I wriggle my nose around I can't feel the hair tickling the other side of my nose. Fantastic!!!! Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. I hope that you sell a ton of these things. If it doesn't last or is defective I will revisit this review to let you know. Update: October 4, 2017, I still love this nose trimmer even though I had to tape the top of the cone shaped cutting piece to the main body because the plastic grabs on the inside broke off. I called the company, Toilettree Products at 888-251-0985, told the very nice woman in customer service what had happened, and she sent me a brand new one in retail packaging. She did not accuse me of any mistreatment of the trimmer, didn't ask for a photo of the taped unit, and the whole phone call took only 2 minutes and 43 seconds from the time their phone started ringing till she said I'd get another one in the mail. This is what I call extremely good service on an already excellent product. Thank you for living up to your lifetime warranty!!! Still ecstatic about this nose trimmer!!!

Well made and built like a tank - great product!
I ordered this way back in 2014, and thought I should post my review up here to praise the product since there are a few 1 star reviews that I can't understand. The only reason I can think of a person giving it 1 star is because they didn't use it properly, or on the right kinds of hair. Clearly, it's not mean to cut sideburns, or do bikini lines. It's meant ONLY for nose and ear hairs, both of which in my advancing years I have. This thing has worked brilliantly for over 7 years now. I've swapped out the battery perhaps 5 times during that history. I have also dropped it a number of times. Normally, the top clear protector comes off, but a couple of times, the cutting portion also came off (they separated but were not broken). I simply screwed them together and went back to trimming. The light works well, and is doing more good than I imagined it would. I'm at the point now where perhaps after all those hours of use, and tens of thousands of clipped hairs, I'm thinking the spinning helicopter like blade device inside the top housing needs to be replaced since it MUST have become slightly dull after all this service. Even though it still cuts well, I'd like to replace that tiny part, and that's the only complaint I have. How do I get that part??? Their website offers no solution. A quick phone call solved that, and they sent me, without charge, a replacement head for the device. I'm updating this review to June, 2021 and after 7 years of use. Finally, the top conical part came apart from the bottom housing - not sure how - but the top would no longer hold fast to the bottom. I called ToiletTree, and they are sending me one of the new models. EXCELLENT customer service. I can't explain some of the few negative reviews. Again, perhaps they are using the product incorrectly. Perhaps they got a dud. And I wish these reviewers would leave some kind of accurate feedback as to WHY they don't like the product. Amazon has, oddly, decided to not allow comments to reviews, and so anyone can now put down a phony negative review that affects future purchasers. Mine is incredible, and I look forward to many more years of service.

Perfect for men!
Being a married mom of 3 sons and 2 daughters, I was looking for a facial hair trimmer that we all could benefit from. I had one of those small "As seen on tv" gadgets (facial hair trimmer) that worked great for us girls. It was actually designed to be used by women, for getting rid of those peach-fuzz patches (like around the cheekbone areas), unsightly chin hairs, and 'female mustaches' (many dark- AND light- complected females deal with this) -- the design featured a comb-like trimmer; which, when using, you'd just "comb" down an area to get rid of the facial hair. It also worked nicely as a nose- and ear-hair trimmer, for the guys. Unfortunately, it didn't take no time for that small gadget to fall apart (it was cheaply made). Needless to say, I went searching for a different trimmer and happened upon this one, the "Professional Water Resistant Heavy Duty Nose and Facial Hair Trimmer" by ToiletTree Products. We've never used a trimmer like this type before, and since it said "and Facial Trimmer", I thought I would give it a try. The price was quite attractive, and after reading the positive reviews relating to it's durability, I figured this would be a great grooming tool for the entire family (except our youngest, she's only 12, and has no use for it - as of yet). It's a perfect trimmer for trimming nose hairs and ear hairs (the guys seem to really like it), as well as trimming an unsightly chin hair (or more, if you have them). As for trimming that 'female' cheeky peach fuzz, it's not quite as EASILY effective - hence the *4-star* rating. I don't know if it's an even possible modification for this tool, but if there were a micro-comb attachment that could be used, to get rid of cheeky peach fuzz, this tool would be perfect! It's very sturdy and well-made - it's holding up nicely to my 2 teen sons' and husband's use, thus far (and they're not exactly 'gentle' with how they use things lol).

Cut's Great, Strong Motor
I have had numerous Panasonic ER-GN30. Those cut and work great... when they are working. However, as many others have pointed out, the Panasonics and other brands, even the best Panasonic, don't last. They have built-in failure, it seems, from the manufacturer, where the on/off button and battery compartment is junk. I have had to constantly mess with the button and clean the battery contacts. The battery contacts get this black liquid on them and seem to tarnish and corrode the battery contacts. I always use fresh batteries and never let them corrode. And I don't use the trimmer in the shower or rinse it out in the sync. But I always clean it out with the included brush. Once this failure starts, then the motor doesn't ever run again at full speed. I have used this one from ToiletTree for about 2 weeks, now. So far, so good. Compared to Panasonic, it seems to be built better as it's heavier and seems to have a stronger motor. And the battery probably isn't going to last as long, but I can tolerate that as a trade-off just as long as the unit will last longer. The LED light doesn't seem to help... at least for me it just seems to be a gimmick, but no big deal. I'll try to update this review every 6 months or so. Hopefully, this ToiletTree clipper makes it past 6 months! 3 months later: still going strong! Over 1 year later: still working. Had a one-time glitch where it wouldn't come on. Not battery related but may have been switch related, don't exactly know. Fiddled with it, then got it to come on again. Anyhow, still working great compared to other brands which are really glitchy!. The ToiletTree unit is cheap enough that I just went ahead and bought an extra one for a backup.

Performance
A Christmas gift for my husband, to be opened on Christmas Day. A review will follow. Recommended by our grandson who is very pleased with the performance of this product.

It works and it gets hot.
While I wouldn't say I have a forest of hair in my nostrils, I have noticed that several individual hairs have transgressed a length that would be considered proper by men's grooming standards. So, naturally when I know what I want, but not exactly which product, I head to the world's largest marketplace, Amazon. This particular nose-hair trimmer was well reviewed. The features many users liked were the metal handle and the solid build quality. I will agree, this is comfortable to hold and is feels well made. During operation, the trimmer technology operates like a dry-shave electric razor, like Norelco or Panasonic branded ones. It spins around blades at high RPMs while a slotted (perforated) metal tip, the part of the trimmer that looks like a bullet jacket, gets your hairs stuck inside the little holes to then be cut by the spinning blade. This technique allows for convenient operation; however, you have to run it for at least a minute or two to get decent nose-hair cutting to result. Because, the nose hairs have to enter the small holes in the tip in order to be cut - this is something that cannot be controlled so you have to keep moving the trimmer around your nose quite a bit. While being used in this manner, the motor's energy transmitted to the spinning blade tends to make the slotted tip quite hot to touch - and you can feel it get hot in your nostril. In conclusion, it works. It's decently made and it is very simple to use and clean. It is not very efficient at cutting hairs and can get hot enough during use that you have to stop operation to let it cool down. It is a tad bit more expensive than some other nose hair trimmers that seem to have a lot more frills and features. It does remove hair with time - and heat - though I was hoping it would be more effective at removing hair so it would take less time.

Great Groomer!
This product is amazing! It fits well in your hand and is easy to handle. It is well priced for a machine well built of stainless steel. The blades are sharp enough to cut the ear and nose hair, but will not cut you. It leaves your skin smooth and hair gone. It is durable and to last a long time.

Doesn't last long, uses up batteries, and poor design.
Didn't last long. Battery life is short. This last time, I replaced the battery with a fresh Duracell battery and the trimmer was so weak, that I am throwing it away! Fortunately, I had a cordless Braun trim kit, with lots of attachments and their nose trimmer was first class and much more powerful! Also, the clear plastic cap was poorly designed and never stayed on well, would easily fall off. Suggest buying the rechargeable Braun kit.
