It is very quiet. She indicates that that room is less damp and the papers are the desk are no longer wet. Review: It works okay - For what it is supposed to do it works okay basically it's a 40 watt heater. It does remove humidity out of the air just not a lot. I bought it for the RV 25 ft inside. We has both this and the crystals, this dehumidifier pulls 10- 15 times the amount of water out of the air. We check it 2 or 3 times per week, so that it doesn't fill up. It usually has about 1 or 2 cups of water to empty, compared to 1 or 2 table spoons of water in the crystals container.
