Worth it - Get the speed you pay for
Worth the upgrade on my UDB Pro. The built-in copper interface was only giving me ~850 up and down. With this I am getting real results and actual speeds that I pay for. Then upgraded to 2 GB to test and the results are worth it.

Works out of the box with Ubiquiti UniFi Gateway Fiber
Works as advertised with the Ubiquiti UniFi Gateway Fiber (UXG-Fiber). The box says it's ESD sensitive, so I'd suggest wearing an ESD wrist strap. But aside from that, literally all you have to do is take it out of the box and slide it in until it clicks. That's it. It doesn't come with instructions and the box has nothing but the model, brand, and ESD warning, but if you're buying this you probably already know what it is and how to use it. And at half the price of the equivalent Ubiquiti model, I'm not complaining. 5 stars!

Ubiquiti UDR7 - Success!
I have a Ubiquiti UDR7 (it looks like R2D2) and it had an SFP+ port. I have never seen that on a "residential" device outside a data center, so I have never used one before. I had to dig in and do some figuring out because I heard the UDR7 runs "better" when using the SPF WAN compared to the RJ45 WAN port. The first thing I discovered is the often mentioned HEAT these can put out and that I should find a lower power consumption version to reduce that heat, and that's how I found this one. I am not bypassing anything that ATT provided me....yet.....So there is a ~1 foot cable going from the ATT box to my UDR7, so I can't tell you about the 30M claim, because I've just got a short patch cable in there. It took me some fiddling to get it to work, again because I am not a dedicated networking IT guy, but it is up now and stable. The UDR7 recognizes it as a 10GBE connection, but I am only passing 1GBE symmetrical internet over it and it figured that out without issues. My speed tests are slightly better than they were before but within a margin of about 1-2% better. Be sure if you're a novice that you know which way this thing inserts, be gentle so you don't ruin anything. I plugged it in wrong the first time. We are 1 week and it is stable. At this price, it was an easy decision to try it out and the quality seems to exceed my expectations. I was able to convert the RJ45 WAN port into a LAN Port so I have an extra 2.5GBE port to use for other activities. So overall, it fit into my UDR7 exactly the way it should, it has been stable for a week and the temperatures haven't gone past 62C in a closet, in the summertime. Exceptional value right there.

CAUTION IF YOU WANT TO USE 2.5
preface: it works fine at 10GBASE-T, but if you plan to use this at 2.5 read on. the one star rating reflects my desire to bring this review to the attention of prospective purchasers, not a complete condemnation of the product. WiiTek says this supports 2.5GBASE-T and it does autonegotiate to that speed. In some configurations it does deliver the expected performance of 2+ gigabit/s. However if you want to use this in a mixed network with 10 gig or faster you will likely encounter problems. I strongly suspect this is because the switch sees this module as 10 gigabit and sends packets at that speed, resulting in many lost packets and, in my testing, less than gigabit performance. I attempted to work around this with a Mikrotik CRS305 switch by putting egress limits on the port, and that does help. In this configuration I was able to get up to about 1.4 gigabit/s. Raising the egress limit above that resulted in performance collapsing back down to <1 gigabit. I strongly suspect the best way to work around this is to use something like the (much more expensive) Aquantia multi-gig SFP+, and I strongly suspect that's because that module contains effectively a mini ethernet switch capable of buffering and transmitting pause frames. I am not going to bother with this so I don 't know for sure; for me it's cheaper and easier to just get a 2.5 gigabit unmanaged switch. The configuration where it works absolutely fine is when you have multiple of these modules on the same switch all connected at 2.5 gigabit. In that case the packets are naturally limited to the same speed. To summarize, this module is not usable at 2.5 gigabit even though it can autonegotiate 2.5GBASE-T. If you want to use it at 10GBASE-T disregard this post, I haven't seen any problems with 10gig.

Works with UDM pro
Can’t complain. Got this to use on my UDM-Pro. Seems to saturate the connection with no issues. I pay for 2gbps Fios and it seems to do 2500 up/down no problems. It auto negotiates as 10gb I was a bit worried that it would run hot, the unit days 52*c and that’s with my room at about 80* It is very hot to the touch, but it seems to be okay. I can’t really complain with the price. Hopefully it lasts.

Gets hot and throttles the speed
Work fine when it is cool, once it starts to get hot starts throttling

I've been using the 10GBase-T SFP+ Module for almost 6 months and performance and reliability has been great. I use this in my Mikrotik switch to connect my switch to the Bell Gigahub for outbound internet and it has been working great. No issues at negotiating at 10Gbps over Cat6 and I haven't had any dropped connections.

Got this to connect the 10G port on the Bell homehub 4000 to my pfsense box since that cant be bypassed anymore as bell no longer provides a GPON. Was able to connect this to a BCM57810S SFP+ NIC on my pfsense box and have it sync at 10G without any messing around. Has been working perfectly for a few weeks now and no complaints at all. Recommended!!
