Thank you for your question. The height of the stroller to the top of the canopy is 27 inches. The cushioned handle is height-adjustable from 17. 5 - 26 inches. Thank you for your question. The retainer and caps that hold the wheels on are considered small parts and warrant the warning. Once the stroller is assembled by an adult, this should be fine for your 2 year old granddaughter to play with. We recommend periodically checking all parts to make sure they are on tight.
