Can this be mounted in the bottom of a tank?

it is wall mounted or ceilling mounted. if you mounted in the bottom of the tank, it will not shut off. so i suppose not.

Has anyone used this float valve for the back of the tank of a Keurig K50 coffee maker or the like? If so, what was the results?

I used it in my Keurig (not sure of model number) it has worked great. Have not had to add water since and no leaks.

Can this be mounted on the side of a tank that has no lid?

I suppose if you want to have it as an eyesore in tank and you can rig it, or have a hole drilled in the tank.
