I needed to send data between two computers through a connection that was a bit less than 200' apart. The WIFI signal wasn't adequate as it often dropped the connection. Purchased a 200' ethernet cable, however the connection worked at times, then at others it didn't. Purchased a couple of ethernet booster devices that didn't solve the problem. Purchased this with enough fiber optic cable to reach. I did have to purchase a different version of the piece that the cable clipped into. The one that came with this is designed for a single strand and what I'd purchased was a double. I hooked everything up with the two computers side by side. The connection still ran through the entire length of the fiber optic cable, so this way I could see if it would work without unspooling the cable. Bingo, it worked. Still I didn't tuck the cable out of sight yet until I'd made sure that it worked in the operational capacity. It did and so now the cable it tucked out of sight, mostly, and I have the operational capacity that I needed.

Great, simple and fast. I had a job that had single-mode fiber (1 strand) ran to another side of the property and wasn't sure what to use as I've always seen fiber with two pairs. Well luckily i found this little guy, super simple one on each end, plug them in and that was it. Allowed me to use this old line to put an AP way back vs doing wireless repeater. Speeds on the wireless went from 8mbs on repeater to 85mbps! Super simple - Plug in, lights come up in a few seconds. Only needs 1 strand - You could use this if you have 2 strands, just buy two sets and then each strand could be a different network or link Reliable - I only used it for 3 months, during that time I never had to reboot it or anything. Only took it down because someone broke the fiber line. I've still got the unit and will use it in the future if i ever have the need.

Needed a good way to run a high speed network connection to my garage from the house and these worked perfectly when paired with a 30 meter length of single mode fiber. This might be a bit of overkill, but it works great!

i used this for extending a 10 meg ckts across walmart that was about 900 ft. not one problem. however the power cord from the brick to the wall is only 6 inches.that was a issue.

Great product have gig ethernet to the barn now and no worry about lighting any more.

Out of the box hooked up and powered up and it worked. Internet flowed in 10 seconds later, Working as a isolator Not one error, still going strong

I like the mounting hardware for wall mount applications. Could use rubber feet for bottom.

not sure it is my fiber cable issue or what. we tried to use this one directly connected to the one of the fiber cable but totally no signal. if we connect the original 2 cables to the bi-converter and it works well. we try to make one fiber connection into 2 but not working at all.
