What couldn’t be great about this coffee! Fresh and delicious. Love the size of the bag as well. The French Roast is strong like we love.

It's Starbucks French Roast Yum!
Yep, it's genuine startucks french roast whole bean. The use by date seems to be several months off on the few that I've purchased. Anyway no freshness issues. I grind in a Breville and then use another Breville to brew. The price is great, and the size of the bag allows me to fill the grinder, fill a container, and then vacuum seal up the other 1/2 so it stays fresh for the week or so it takes to go through the other 1/2.

Good bean
All of the coffee flavors taste good although I can't distinguish one of them from the other besides smell before roasting. Exactly as pictured, sealed well. Definitely on the pricey side, but what isn't these days... good value overall

My favorite roast!
French Roast is hands down my favorite blend! The rich, bold flavor is exactly what I’m looking for in a dark roast. Smooth, full-bodied, and never bitter. I love grinding the beans fresh for each pot; it really brings out the perfect aroma and taste. Plus, the 40 oz bag is a great size, so I always have plenty on hand. It’s become my go to coffee for both mornings and afternoon pick me ups. If you're a fan of dark, flavorful coffee, I highly recommend this one!

Great for Cold Brew!
I have just found the miracle that is cold brew coffee. I have avoided it at coffee houses and in the store because of the cost, but I recently purchased a cold brew pitcher and of course, I had to have Starbucks coffee to make my cold brew. It's great. You can grind the coffee courser than you normally would for an automatic drip machine or if you are in the mood for a cup of hot coffee, you just grind the beans finer. I doubt I will ever go back to ground coffee again. It's a little more work but well worth it.
