Paintball mask for noobs
It's my first time buying paintball mask, whenever I play Paintball matches with my friends, the rented masks are usually small or not compatible with people who wear glasses like me. So it's difficult for me to play without my glasses on. Therefore I went on searching for masks that suitable people like me wear glasses. Fortunately, this masks provides that. The inside of the helmet is roomy for my head and my glasses. My glasses isn't particularly big too, so if you're wearing bigger glasses than me it shouldn't be a problem too.Value for money it's good if you're living in the US or nearby country however for me I have to spend Rm350 including shipping for this mask in Malaysia. Which is rather pricey and I'm a person who often keep going paintball match but it's good to know that I have it and future can use it as an asset to me.Overall 8/10 mask, recommend for any newbies that getting into paintball and needed a mask

Invert Helix. not bad. pretty good for the price.
So this isn't a great mask, but it is definitely worth the price. it uses the same lenses as the the Empire Vents, so it will be easy to replace them, unlike say the cheaper jt or viewloader masks. its decently comfy, not as much as like a more expensive mask, like the Empire E-vents, but definitely has a lot more ventilation than the others, so its really easy to breathe and talk through, and also is prone to less fogging at less than a quarter of the price. The mask itself is not soft and rubbery like high end masks, so its not as light. But its not hard plastic like cheap ones, so it doesn't weigh a ton. It's a really nice in between.I bought this mask on amazon instead of using Ultimate Paintball's website for the "free shipping". on the website it is 5 bucks cheaper but you have to pay like 10 bucks for shipping, so it is smarter just to buy on amazon. but the downside is they used FedEx smartpost, which basically ships through the the USPS so it took about 6 business days to get to me. this wasnt a problem, and i dont mind since me and the seller saved money. So all in all this is a decent mask for rec play. No, possibly the BEST mask you can get in this price range. the only thing that really competes is the Empire Vidar mask, onlybecause it is lighter, but it cost twice as much as this one.

At first glance this mask is very lightweight and easy to maintenance and parts just snap into place with ease. The foam surrounding the lens is separated into a top and bottom piece with no foam on the corners (near the ears.) This is a big plus for me because I wear glasses while paintballing and it doesn't crunch my glasses into the side of my head like most other masks do. It also comes with a removable chin strap that you can attach to the head strap in the back of the mask for added stability.I have not had the opportunity to test it while paintballing yet so I cannot comment on the fogging issue at this time. I will update my post after I get some hours on this mask.My overall view of this mask after testing it for about an hour is:Pros:comfortable for people wearing glassesstraps stay tight with motionlightweightdecent for a mask this priceCons:sliding the lens back into place can be a little difficult, as positioning the lens under the nose piece and having it dead center can be quite tricky at first. If you don't position the lens in the right position it won't lock into place though, so you will know when you've got the right position at least.

Works amazingly
The anti-foggging/thermal lenses is on the same level of the top tier masks. Hasn't fogged up on me yet, while my friends' rental masks have fogged up on them in the middle of battle, diminishing the fun. Have a Dytanium white/gold i4, but I still wear this one because at a fraction of the cost, I could break this multiple times before I would be spending as much as I spent purchasing the i4. Which is why the I4 stays safe in storage or on display while I use this more practical cost effective Helix Thermal mask. The only con is that it looks EXTREMELY similar to the rental masks (non-thermal) where I play and therefore once in awhile I have someone accidentally trying to take my mask, which is why I just removed the visor to distinguish the masks.I would recommend this whether or not you budget is tight. Yes, it's always nice to have one of the expensive masks, but this one is just as good.Note: I do realize that the I4 has better peripheral as well as a few other things, but the biggest key factor in a mask first and foremost is anti-fog.

Survived hell
Wore this mask at Invasion of Normany 2014, which is basically a weekend long paintball event in the hundred degree summer in July in the humid forest of Pennsylvania. There is a difference between a dry heat and a humid heat, the humid heat in the forests of ION will drench you in sweat and after hours of playing intense paintball, the foam will be soaked. Fortunately, none of the sweat got in my eyes and most importantly, it didn't fog up. Most people fog up when they get moisture inside their mask and combine it with heat, I had both since I was sprinting and fighting in the deadly heat for hours. I was actually extremely impressed for the price. My only complaint is that you absolutely need a microfiber or it'll get smudged and blurry fast. When you get the mask, make sure you peel the protective film on the front AND the back off. You'll have to take the tabs off as instructed and make sure the lens clicks when you lock it back in place. Everything is pretty durable and rubberized so don't worry about breaking it.

These are cheap, have a thermal lens and fit nicely. The bottom of the mask is a bit short leaving a bit of the sides of the face exposed, but time will tell how this all works out. I was sweating a lot, dripping inside the mask, A LOT, and not once did they fog up. Played all day in the sun in 80 degree weather and it was pretty hot in the mask, but considering all that, it was as clear as can be. Took a head shot and had to wipe it off, but again, it was clear and without fog. Best bang for your buck.

Love it but can get cheaper elsewhere.
Had it two years now for woods and sup'air paintball. I'm old school so was a bit apprehensive at using a mask that wasn't by JT but I love it and I'm really glad I got it. Only gripe is the peak doesn't clip in properly and the rubber fins that fit into the grooves to hold it in place come out very easily. That said, the peak has never actually fallen off so it's not a real problem. I'd buy this again but not at the current price of £60 here when it's £37 elsewhere in the UK.

Very good/ recommend for beginners.....
Great mask for beginners/ occasional players/ site masks. If you are going to paintball regularly (all weekend, every weekend) buy a more comfortable mask with different lenses (clear and tinted). Would highly recommend this mask.
