Best E. D
Best E.D.C. i ever bought for the money. This thing is a beast, it has a great cutting surface, its durable and chunky. Could probably run it over with my truck and it would function just fine.Only drawback i can really see is its weight, but its not really a issue unless your wearing dress pants or slacks, but the slight overweight is easily made up for by its sheer performance and reliability, and for 50.00 bucks CANT GO WRONG.If your on the fence about this baby, let me push you over it, GET IT.The Mantis pit boss is next for me.

Initial Impression
I've been buying a ton of knives lately, This knife blew me away when I got it.This knife is so cool. Built like a tankNow its Heavy and bulky so not the ideal EDC knife, but if your into knivesThe cool factor on this knife is off the charts. If someone had just handed me this knife I would have thought it cost 100 dollars or more.As you can tell I am loving this knife lol Buy it you will be impressed

This knife should last forever.
The edges are a tad rough, Over all finish is very good, holds an edge extremely well. Going to have to get myself a small spanner wrench to adjust the bolsters as they have had a tendency to loosen up over time, put it through its paces camping and setting snares, and just the usual camp use. Had to make sure it was worthy of making it into my Truck bug out bag. The rough edges really haven’t bothered me much, this is a BIG knife in a small package. Here is my revised 2 year review. When I bought mine it came with Black G-10 handles and red/sliver pivot, which worked it's self loose very quickly. The more I used it the less I liked it. (add an 1" or so the the blade length and It would be an awesome knife).I carried this as my EDC for over a year, it has held up very well, still looks great, holds a good edge well.Like I said before the Bolsters/pivot loosened up and as I said there is no way to tighten them up without buying a spanner wrench. (I just keep them finger tight seems to work well)All and All a Niche Knife that’s built like a tank. Maybe a bit overpriced. The knife is a little pig, very thick. Too big for a pocket knife too small for a bag knife. But has a home in my get home bag.

Quite possibly the most accurately named knife ever.. ...
Quite possibly the most accurately named knife ever.. This little beast is rock solid and tough. It's a little hefty for some to carry but don't let that fool you. You can cut, pry and do just about any task. I have used it for everything from skinning wires to cutting leather and wood. It's worth time and money to have one of these jewels.

This is exactly what it claimed to be very thick blade very sharp not extreamly heavy
This knife lives up to expectation it is as rugged as a liner lock can be. The blade thickness is not quite as advertised 1/4" more like 3/16" but still quite a bit thicker than the norm. So far it holds an edge, I cut cardboard and poly banding with it and I have only had to touch up the edge once in the few week I have had it using it pretty much every day. I have several knives that I consider good quality including SOG and the like and this one is just as good.

great knife
recieved my tough tony a few weeks ago, and have to say was prety excited to get it.I have long been a fan of benchmade knives, and was getting ready to bite the bullet and get my favorite knife the mpr. just happened to see a magazine that featured mantis knives, and soon there after found a new company I liked. I have handled the benchmade mpr many times and have to say, mantis has the key points of that knife in the tough tony. and being I was looking to use the mpr as an edc knife the mantis made more sense due to the huge price difference. that being said i am blown away at the quality of this little knife. it was razor sharp right out of the box, and has held its edge like it hasnt left the box. i am a mechanic and use the knife for everything from cutting boxes to cutting hoses, and everything else i can find to cut. i did'nt like the way the handle was finished, had too many sharp edges. but a little bit of sand paper took care of that, and now it feels awesome in my hands. if your curious about the knife, don't buy into the negative comments from knife snobs. buy it, and remember its only 50 bucks and you wont be able to believe it. plus from everything i have read, mantis seems to have the best customer service out there. not having to worry about breaking your knife is really nice.makes the value of the knife even more for a 50 dollar knife.
