as I believe I needed something with a little better static pressure due to the filter
Bought 2 of these and they are my first pair of noctuas. Put them in the front of my 750d airflow edition case, as I believe I needed something with a little better static pressure due to the filter, replacing two Corsair AF140 Quiet LED fans. The difference is noticeable. My case temps, playing The Witcher 3 using an MSI 980 ti, dropped 5 degrees Fahrenheit. 80-81F from 86-87F. Using a fan controller, I put the noctuas at 70% fan speed (about 1400 rpms) compared to Corsair 140's which were at 100% fan speed (1200 rpm). At 100% though (2000 rpm) the noctuas are loud, so I prefer keeping them <1500 rpm. I can only imagine what the 3000 rpm version sounds like which is why I didn't go for those. I love these fans and will buy more in the future. They are expensive but I believe the price is justified. Just wish they made some LED versions for aesthetics.
