I use Ultra Nutro for all three of my dogs, but I noticed my middle one, Marley, a boxer/lab mix and three years old, was getting a little chunky around the waist. This was mostly due to extra treats because he is such a good boy, but nevertheless the weight was there. So I ordered this Healthy Weight version, and by the time he finished the bag he was back to his normal weight-I caught it early because I have seen hugely fat dogs and the struggles they have and didn't want that happening to my Marley. I love Ultra Nutro because all ingredients are NON GMO and for the most part healthy compared to other dry kibble dog foods. Most importantly, because you know how dogs are-if they don't like it they won't eat it-Marley LOVES this good-whether regular food or healthy weight, Nutro has flavors all my dogs love, and knowing they are not eating GMO's is iimportant to me.

I rescued a senior JRT/heeler mix who was about six pounds overweight per vet. After just three months on this food, she was down from 36 lbs to 33! She was unable to jump on the couch or into the car. Now she does this with relative ease. I will continue to keep her on this food as she seems to love it. I’ve increased her portion size slightly as she’s closing in on her ideal weight. Also, after getting some teeth removed, I’ve been softening the food with a little warm water. She loves it all the more!

We’ve been feeding our dog Nutro Natural Choice Adult Healthy Weight for years, switching between the Chicken & Brown Rice and the Lamb varieties. Our vet originally recommended it to help manage her weight, and it has worked very well as long as we follow the feeding guidelines. She maintains a healthy weight and energy level, and—most importantly—she actually likes eating it. No coaxing needed. The ingredients list is solid, and we’ve never had issues with digestion or pickiness when transitioning between the flavors. It’s been one of the most reliable foods we’ve tried. My one gripe is the price. It’s definitely on the expensive side. Also, every once in a while, the 30 lb. bag isn’t available for quick delivery, which is stressful when we’re running low. Overall, though, the quality has kept us coming back. If you’re looking for a healthy-weight formula that actually delivers results and your dog has a sensitive palate, this is a great choice.

Our 10 year old designer dog (sounds better than mutt) has eaten this food since she was a puppy. As the bag says , this is adult dog food, and designed for "healthy weight". When we first adopted our puppy (a mix of dachshund, Jack Russell, Chihuahua and Mini Pin), our vet told us that since there was dachshund in the mix, we needed to keep an eye on her weight. She kept throwing up her chicken based food, so we found this Nutro product and gave it a shot...and the rest is history...she's been enjoying it for 10 years. She has always been a healthy and playful dog...at 10 she still plays and runs like a puppy (if only we humans could do that!). Her favorite day is when a new bag of food arrives, and we pour it into the vault. She spends the next 30+ minutes in and out of the bag...no doubt licking every possible surface! At time she will tear the entire bag apart (the only thing she has ever chewed/torn in her life)...it is adorable as heck...and it's very clear that she is a fan of this food!

The food quality always seems good but the last 3 bags we ordered were had a hole in them. 2 were just small holes at the top. 1 was a large hole at bottom. Looked like a forklift had poked a hole in it. Half the food was gone and they just taped it up and shipped it as is. The amazon box is always intact but the dog food bag is hit or miss lately

I've been buying Nutro for decades. Dogs love it, coats are great.

My dog really enjoys this food, he is elderly so I soften it with a bit of chicken stock! So far, so good!

We feed NUTRO Natural Choice Adult dry kibble to our three dogs and they absolutely love it. They eagerly run to the bowl at mealtime, finish their kibble cleanly, and seem to be doing great in terms of coat, energy and digestion. We appreciate that the ingredients avoid corn, wheat and soy, and offer good variety (chicken, lamb, brown rice). While no food is perfect, and we always watch for batch changes or ingredient tweaks, for our pack this has turned into a reliable go-to. Highly recommended.

I’ve been ordering the Nutro Wholesome Essentials dry dog food every few weeks for like the last year. Usually all goes well but this week shipping is late and today I had to go searching for my dogs food. To my surprise the packaging is new/different (wa water resistant material vs paper) and the actual kibbles look different in shape and way less dusty. So now I’m sitting here trying to gecide wether I’m going to continue ordering from here or not?
