Comfortable, good compression for my old legs. And they stay in place all day.

I am a lifelong GOLD TOE fan. I bought these higher socks for cold season warmth (that little extra) and to eliminate the lines that crew socks cause on my calves. These socks are comfortable, well made, professional looking, and durable. They do offer just a little extra warmth when its cool out, and they do not leave lines on my calves. I don't recommend them for hot summer days. I WILL buy them again.

Fit well and stay up. Time will tell.

These are not to thick. Easy to wash and clean. they stay in place and are not too thick.

I wear gold toe socks with my sport shoes and hiking boots. I wanted a different style to wear with my dress shoes. When I wore suits daily, I always wore over the calf socks like these. The mercerized cotton gives a finer, smoother look appropriate to wear with a suit or even dress trousers. One caution - based on my height and weight (which Amazon remembers from other transactions, it wanted to recommend the regular size although my shoe size is 13 or 14 depending on the style and the shoe manufacturer. I bought the larger size against their recommendation and I am glad that I did.

I use these in an unorthodox way. I work outside all year round in the northeast. Lately it has become difficult to find good quality thick wool socks. The kind of socks that will keep my feet warm while standing in slush as I work on something. A friend told me that if you wear dress socks under winter socks it helps to keep your feet warm. What do you know he was right. These make a huge difference. These as the base layer, merino wool socks then work boots, and because they come up to my knee they help under my long johns. They are thin enough to not add any noticeable thickness.

Is over the calf, but very itchy and the heel wears out quickly. The itchy feeling is the main issue I don't like it.
