Well worth the money and portable, worked for us for 7 weeks of clean purified water no one got sick.
I read all the reviews and watched all the videos on this product before I purchased it. So I got is from Amazon for $165. Arrived in just a few days and sat here til we got ready for our trip to the Philippines a few weeks later. When we arrived we had several water bottles ready to be filled, our apartment was brand new unit in Balayan, Batangas. The water was supplied from a well not sure shallow or deep water. Other tenants had the other apartments and had the same water as us. Now they have purified water and my wife thought maybe for the cost it would have been better to just purchase the 5 gallon jugs, but we had what we had and were going to use it. So I installed a standard 3 stage water filter that hooked up to the faucet that uses the type of cartridge for whole house. I ran that and got the unit cleared out so not more white foam as happens when you change or start with a new filter. Then I used that water to fill the cube, did the preliminary setup and flush as stated in the instructions. I filled our water bottles and we could see right away the difference from none filtered then filtered and Cube purified water. In fact people that came to visit said our water was so clear it magnified water ever you seen on the other side of the glass. Now the people in the next apartments were from San Pablo Laguna and they were using 5 gallon Jerry cans of Purified water because using the water they got diarrhea so they went to purified water for all their consumable water and cooking. We pumped water everyday and I noticed it runs pretty fast and less pumping if you keep the jug fuller cause takes less pressure because less air volume. We purchased a cooler type jug and pumped water into that just by sitting the cube on the counter and the jug on the floor while we were just doing things. We kept several bottles in the refrigerator to stay cold and when we went out had cold water. One time my wife who actually was from there and hadn't been there for many years got a local drink from the vendors in a real store in town had stomach pains and realized that the water did it to her. Last time she drank without our water. Soon after we realized that we didn't have to travel carry large 5 gallon jugs and go in a tricycle to get it like other people and in reality she said you know actually this was a very smart move. We didn't get sick everyone that came here had something to say about the water clearness and lack of weird taste. Problem of course is being from America we are able to afford the price, but for the fact of not having medical insurance the cost of going to the emergency room or losing several days of vacation makes the cost well worth it. The unit fit no problem in our suitcase and weighs basically nothing. Pumping is no problem and I noticed that at one point the sounds changes to as wish sound when you reach the maximum pressure, you can hear the change in sound. We had 5 people and it supplied water for everything we had water in juice type containers and used it to make tang and ice tea and other beverages. We made ice in plastic bags, seems like no ice cube trays and the refrigerators are like toys compared to our US ones. One funny thing is if you go to one of those countries as stupid as it sounds bring egg cartons with you cause the markets do not have egg cartons they put your eggs in a plastic bag and there may be a few that you have to scramble as soon as you get home to save them. Next trip I will go to Bed Bath and Beyond and get the 24 container egg carrier to carry on our motorbike. Get yourself a few good water bottles to carry your water around with you when going out for the day unless you plan to buy bottled water. DO NOT TRUST the small places selling water in bottles not sealed from regular real companies. We used the Cube for 7 weeks and it did not run slow or stop working. I think using the pre-filter system to clear the normal junk first lengthens the life of the cartridge which costs about $125 to replace due to the fact it is clean of sentiment before going into the Cube. I think our next trip I may just buy the Jerry Can and leave it there, it costs more but after using this and not getting sick it is well worth the cost. We carried our water to Manila but not the Cube but had to stay a few days, lucky we took like 4 quarts of water with us. Not sure if the water there was good but we rather not chance it. I would recommend it to anyone that has water that may be questionable. Health is more important than $165 really. My Cube came home with me and is ready to go back to Philippines at any time. Lastly you will not realize how much water you use until you have questionable drinking water. Just think having to go to someplace to get water or just having a cup of coffee or tea and pumping your next jug of pure clean water. Yes I do Recommend it.

Confidently Prepared
First shipping was way faster than anticipated. I purchased this item based on several recommendations from actual people who have had to use this product abroad. And I wanted a source of purification that was mobile in case of an emergency that would support more than one person if need be. this is perfect for an average size family. Don’t forget to order extra filters. This device gives you the ability to purify water as you need by removing contaminates and even most viruses the latter is where life straws and most portable devices fail miserably. This device actually works as I have had the ability to actually test water after it has been filtered through many of these devices and hands down the LifeSaver Cube and Lifesaver products have always worked superior to the others tested. As with all water purification/filter devices you should research the best ways of choosing and pre-filtering your initial water sources when able too, this not only saves your filter but also provides you with the safest usable drinking water. Education is the best survival tool so research, research, research and don’t just rely on company claims for their products.

The Cube will save your life...however....
As a designer of water systems, I solemnly assure you that a .2 micron filter will save your life and I guarantee it will give you clean water. The .2 micron filter is small and the water dribbles out of it's 1/4" nozzle. While it IS dribbling super-clean water, it is going to take a minute to fill your coffee cup. If you want to hold your refrigerator door open for a whole minute to get a cup of water; well, your Mom will probably kill you. This unit is great to take to Africa, where there is little clean water, which is exactly what I bought it to do: The size is good in that it holds enough to get me through the day. It takes about 200 pumps to get through the whole container, which is fine, since one has little else to do while waiting for the cup to fill. If one is to claim that it "works" at any angle; well, we'll need to define "works". You lay it down on it's side with the pump up; either side for lefty's or righty's - that is good. Any other angle either makes no sense or is just not practical to the thirsty. It's a bit pricey at $200 - which I suppose is because, if you have relatively clean water to start with, you will be served a large quantity of water before filter replacement. I didn't remember seeing the disclaimer in the Literature previous to the enclosed, that the cleanliness of the water going in compromises the life of the filter - now, while that makes total sense, I just did not figure that in when calculating the cost per liter. I like the cube, for what I bought it for; however, I am going to try another filter for $75 that will give me 13 ounces in a minute. To summarize: While it's probably not much good for a USA family's daily home use; it is absolutely good for camping [not backpacking]; & for all other countries with problematic water, it is exceptional. In Tanzania, where I am going next month, it costs 2 months salary.

In my opinion Lifesaver is the best water purifier on the market. This one I bought as a Christmas present for a friend. I have the Lifesaver Jerry can myself and it is an amazing piece of kit. Not the cheapest purifier on the market but worth every penny
