This book is such a fun and engaging read! The story is full of energy and easy for kids to follow, making it a great choice for young readers just getting into books. My little boy absolutely loves it – he asks for it again and again at bedtime. It’s the perfect mix of excitement and age-appropriate storytelling. Highly recommend for any child’s bookshelf!

Brilliant little book for small people. I have bought all Julia Donaldson/ Axle Sheffler books in the past for my first great granddaughter and so bought a smaller size one for a new baby to enjoy when starting to have stories read to them and find what is under the flap in the pictures.

Only buy this book if you are very patient and love, love, love repetition - you will be reading it a lot! It has been a huge favourite with my little boy from around a year onwards. He firstly just loved opening the flaps on each page, which are nice and sturdy, but then started to understand the story and be able to pick out details in the pictures when asked, so it does grow with the child to an extent. Great for very young children that might be a bit baffled by longer stories and rhymes, this is simple and interactive enough to keep them engaged and my little boy got a real feeling of accomplishment when he could "find" hen at the end. I ended up buying a second copy since the garden gate on the first one was very much loved (aka crumpled). The hardback separate copies are also much stronger than the three Acorn Wood books in one that I have also bought, (the 3 in 1 version would only suit an older child that can be trusted not to grab/pull/twist/be a usual toddler with the flaps). Definitely recommend,

This book is very engaging for children from babies to preschool age children there is flaps on every page for the children to lift up and look. This book is apart of a series that the characters interconnect through each story and the children will enjoy reading all of the stories and finding the different characters.

Highly recommend the quality of these booked are just lovely great story and great illustration. My go to author for the little ones. Perfect stories every time . The kids love these books

Good book for the baby to start exploring simple stories

This book is a favorite with our one year old! I like the rhyming story and the clues to help our child guess what animal is behind each item.

I gave this book to my niece as part of her Easter present and she ADORES the book! Would absolutely Recommend and buy again!

It is very lovely book and fun. My kids like to read this book in the morning. Then they want to play hide and seek!

Wonderful colourful book …

Has a cute rhyme and sturdy flaps. My kid loves it and forces me to read it at least 3 times a day!
