Worked great on my 98 Ford Ranger (Rear window)
After finding a youtube video, I went ahead and ordered this size (3/8in) of the windo-weld to fix my leaky rear window on my 98 Ford Ranger. It had been leaking for a long time, and it had been sitting at the previous owner's house, and that had caused surface rust on all the interior metal pieces and several interior electrical issues that were expensive to fix. Ordered this product, it came and I got to work on the truck. My truck is the single cab with the three piece sliding rear window, and this worked great for it. I put the windo-weld in the freezer before working with it, and didn't take it out until I had removed all of the old seal from my window. I then put it on, which was much easier with it cold than with it warm (takes the stickiness out of it temporarily). Then, after warming it up I put it back in the truck, tightened up the window bolts slowly, and left the truck in the sun for about an hour. After letting it sit I further tightened it until they were snug. I also made sure to push the window into the frame from the back periodically, which aided in closing the weatherstripping gap. I installed it in July of 2021 and it's now February of 2022, and I can successfully report that it has stayed weathertight for over 6 months now. I definitely recommend this product, especially for us 90s Ford guys that got screwed from the factory on these windows! It seems like other customers had issues with the shipping/condition of the product when received, I personally did not experience that and it came in new condition. My only grievance is that the box itself that the weatherstrip comes in had a little window in the front for you to feel the product through, just seemed weird to me. Seems like dust and other stuff could get in there and potentially contaminate the weatherstripping. Anyways, I had some left over and wrapped in a plastic bag for future use.

Does the job.
I got this to reseal a window in a 1971 Pontiac Catalina, a job it did wonderfully. Some tips: Make sure you clean the window and where it's going to seal very well. I hit it with alcohol after I'd sandpapered the old paint and sealant off. I also hit it with some self-etching primer in order to keep from rust from reforming, as that was the culprit for the first failure. Second, get some suction cups to hold the window and/or have someone to help you. Once you've set the window in place, it is NOT going to move. Third, make sure you lay it in evenly. Too thin or two thick will result in an uneven set, which may result in leakage. (I cheated and applied some good RTV silicone sealant around the outside edge of the window afterwards.) Good luck!

This type seal is like the oem part. Used to seal the rear window in a ford truck that someone tried to use urethane sealer on it. the urethane did not work but thi window weld did work.
