Excellent product and customer service
I ordered the D10 product. I had one when I was young and had fun running it. The steam engine is just like I remembered. The engine Care must be taken with the plastic water tray that catches the condensed steam. I mounted it to a piece of ply wood, filled the tank and loaded fuel and it worked as expected. The delivery took over 1 month. When the product arrived there was a note inside explaining what happened and the reason for the delayed delivery. Apparently the original shipment was damaged along with the shipping label and was returned to the sender.

Awsome Engine, Awsome Customer Care!
I grew up with a Wilesco working-model steam engine in the 1970’s and used to run it in our basement (probably not the safest idea) for hours at a time. When my 11 year-old showed an interest I didn't hesitate to order the D 10 which looked exactly like the one I used to have. This time all our operations were safely outdoors and the engine worked like a charm. A neat improvement over my childhood model is that now after leaving the cylinder the steam is piped under the engine base and then vented out of the smokestack – creating the appearance of smoke. At the bottom of the smokestack is a removable plastic container to capture any residue water. Besides the aesthetics this set-up is also safer and much less dirty than, as in my day, the oily steam and water exiting directly from the cylinder and splattering all over the place. A major issue occurred, however after about our third run. The plastic container under the smokestack melted as well as the handle on the metal slide that contains the fire pellets. I accept that this was probably my fault for using 3 pellets at a time instead of what probably should have been only one, but nowhere in the instructions was this mentioned as a hazard, and also the metal slide accommodated all three pellets; so more pellets the better, right? So here is where the awesome customer care comes in. I contacted the seller, Matthias Brenner of Germany, complaining about the problem and the next day he replied saying that he would send me replacements for both parts. True to his word, about a month later (Germany is a ways away) the replacements have arrived. I have no regrets either in purchasing the D 10 or in purchasing it from Matthias. Going forward, however, I am going to be using only one fire pellet.

Great toy for teens
Followed all the directions and had success the first time. The whistle lever is made of plastic and melted a bit and snapped off. Luckily some good glue fixed it.

Precisely the way I remember it..
I like everything about it. I had one like this when I was 9 years old. Unfortunately, I took it to school as part of a science project and I was "cajoled" into "donating" it to the science lab. Now I finally have one again. The quality is as good as you can get. It is obvious that this is made by a company with dedicated workers, proud of what they produce. I thank everyone who touched this in the factory.

Perfect Steam Toy
A childhood friend had one of these, and this is exactly the same. Simple to use, and more than enough water storage to consume one load of fuel. Fascinating to watch.
