Sony CPF1LS USB Portable Power Supply with 3500 mAh Battery

Does a great job charging cell phones. Easy to use and easy to store. The only reason I took it down to 4 stars is it takes an extremely long time to charge when very low. Close to 6 hours. Still a great deal for the money.

I use this external battery charger for my htc 1 smartphone, which has a battery capacity of 2350 mah. I found that I was able to charge my phone faster using the sony than the htc a/c wall charger that comes with the phone! I tested how quickly the sony worked, starting with the battery at 17%, and it went to 43% after 37 min., 70% in 77 min., and 98% after 129 min. I did the charging while the phone was in sleep mode, rather than shut down entirely. After charging the phone, the sony charger had very little juice left, so it's basically good for one charge only.The charger is about the same size and weight as the phone, but slightly thicker. It's elegantly designed and engineered, and it comes with a cable which is about 22 1/2 in. long. I'm able to charge the sony by plugging its cable into my htc a/c wall charger.Insofar as I can tell, after using the charger for about a week, it's an excellent product.

Looks very good (matt finish, not so shiny as the picture) with its strong alu casing and stylish design. We got it at a Sony deal of the day offer and that makes it worth every penny. My sons love it fits their Sony Xperia Z case (same width and thickness but slightly shorter) so they can carry it along with them to school or on trips. Although there are more powerful versions, this is sufficient for normal use and gets you through the day with intensive use/gaming. Charges your phone as quickly as the normal power socket charger would.If the more powerful version is the same size, that could be a good alternative by now. However, if it is bigger the benefit of the size comparison to the Xperia Z would be lost...

I've owned several power banks including Nokias and other Sonys. In general, I only buy name brand rechargeable batteries (Sony, Sanyo, etc) for their safety and reliability. This power bank is the size of a smartphone but thin and made out of metal. Having the power button is nice with indicator lights. I haven't tried to charge an iPad yet but works well with my other handhelds.Update - it also has enough juice to charge iPads (full sized) as well as other iOS devices. I was able to charge my smartphone 3 times before the power bank needed to be recharged itself over a course of a couple weeks, so am happy with the shelf life, as with other power banks, the minute you actually need the charger, it's usually dead or drained.

Excellent! I actually used this for test purposes, out of the box, to charge my cell phone, It charged a lot quicker than plugging into wall + the charge was more complete (this all with the phone on and in use!) This charger also worked well with my Kindle HD 7! Recharge on the unit itself was also very quick. Fantastic deal for its size and price.

Initially I found this external battery too big but after using it for a while the shape is perfect to hold. I think it charges the iphone %s 2-3 times before we need to recharge it.
