Good tool to drive small brads manually.

Great tool
Before getting this tool I kind of imagine that this was like a spring-loaded punch type of tool that drove in the Brad nail from the repercussion of the spring. But that's not how this tool works. There is a spring. But this tool is really just a way to hold the Brad nail stiff. Depending on what you're driving the nail into, meaning if the wood or pvc is soft, then in many cases you can use the driver tool to push in the nail if you have leverage using strength alone. If you don't have leverage I recommend hammering, a soft mallet against the end of the driver. I've used the tool to fasten baseboards, quarter round, and other trim to walls and such. I've also used the tool to drive in brad nails partially so that I can have good places to hang decorations or paintings. Because brad nails are so small and they leave just a pinhole and walls they have been the easy and preferred way to hang decorations.

Doesn’t work with brass brads
Got this to use with brass brads. The head on the brads does not fit in nail tube. So don’t really have much use for it now. Thought that had a snap to it like an auto center punch. It only pushes nail in as held in tube. Will find a use one day.

The wood handle will fall off after a short time
This item is 9X-10X less $than other brands of the same tool and functions the same, for awhile that is, until the wood handle falls off and has to be put back together and the handle glued back on. . The handle falls off because it is made of soft cheap wood instead of durable hard wood and the cheap metal mechanism sleeve that slips inside the handle is smooth and assembled in the handle in a hole bored big enough for the smooth shank which does not grip it well and wallows out with use to become loose, necessitating figuring out which glue to udse to reaffix it permanently in the handle. I used a two part broad spectrum epoxy.

This Brad pusher was more of a Brad eater
After using a Brad pusher in the past I was excited to get one of my own. I was surprised at the price and was told they are not very expensive. I received my tool today and grabbed a 1 brad and placed it into the tube. It seemed to disappear so I figured I needed to push the tube into the material I was trying to Nail. Nothing happened, and the Brad nail disappeared. Grabbed another Brad and tried but yet again the Brad disappeared. So then I decided to open it up and see where the Brad went. You can see in the pictures the pieces of the nail pusher. I assume there is supposed to be a push rod inside somewhere but it was missing in mine. I also found my Brad nails shoved into the back of the tool tangled up on the spring. After pulling out the pieces I also noticed a nut and two magnets inside the Handle. I’m guessing this one was defective and I’m happy that Amazon provided a refund. I just wanted a tool that works. I’m disappointed that it was missing pieces and the shaft is aluminum.

I'am a first buyer & user of this Brad & Nail driver.
Since I' am a 1st time buyer & user of this brad & nail driver, I tried it out on some wood trim that I will use on older window trim. The trim will be attached to the older crank out windows that need some inside storm windows attached to them. It works well with pilot holes drilled into to the trim wood to avoid spiting the thin trim. I would buy again if I needed another one. Thanks Mike

Love this tool!
I work with glass in windows and picture frames. A brad pusher is the quickest and most reliable method of driving in brads. It saves my large fingers from the inevitable whack with the hammer. I also use it for hanging groups and clusters of small pictures when hanging on nails alone. There are fancier and more expensive pushers available but they can only work as well, not better.

Are use this with my students to build their miniature houses using brads. Nail guns are a little risky with teenagers. Works great just make sure you don’t put two brads in at the same time. It’ll jam.

Great rendition of an old-fashioned tool! So useful for inserting small nails into fiddly places such as picture frames, small coping etc.
