Review: This scoring board is the perfect addition to my craft assortment - This scoring board is the perfect addition to my craft assortment. It was a no brainer on which score board to buy since this one was marked down to a very reasonable price, and basically does the same thing as the other popular brand. This one even comes with the envelope guide; the other popular scoreboard requires you buy it as an extra accessory if you want one. This score board does everything I require. I'm new to making homemade cards and was folding them freehand, then using the paper cutter to cut them straight. This score board has solved that problem, and it's easy to use to make the straight scores and then fold on the score with the 'new improved' bone folder that came with it. I like the compartment that holds the bone folder and any other small items you may use. It came UPS yesterday and last night I folded enough card stock to make 5 different sized cards - perfect scores every time. I read complaints about the bone folder it used to come with; on the packaging this one states the bone folder is new and improved. This plastic bone folder feels very heavy duty and works marvelous. I also saw a couple reviews that stated the board feels flimsy. Oh my goodness, what are they comparing it to? The board feels and looks very well made, and I'm sure it will last as long as I need one. Now I'm off to score more cards. Thank you Martha! It's a great score board and I am more than pleased with it.
Review: Major Time Saver & MORE! - This is My 1st Score Board that I have used since I was very young. I have always just done it by hand when needed. Talk about time consuming. This Little Board [well not so little] makes things so so much faster. I can whip out things WAAAAY more faster! :) *NOTE: Here is a Little Tip to make things a Little faster straight from the start. I went and took different color Sharpies and marked off The A2 Envelope score mark at 3 and then the 3-5/8 So i don't have to sit there and figure out which score line is the 5/8ths. I know right away in a glance know it is where the Red sharpie make is. :) I also marked off a couple of others that I use alot. Just take a sharpie right at 3-5/8 draw a little longer line out on the Envelope triangle and write "A2" and if you want do the same at 3. I did. :0) Family and Friends Love it even more getting a Greeting from Me because They know I even made the Envelope but now I can make more Happier Faster :) Time is so Valuable cause you Never get it back. So Why not save some time and headaches :0) I Love it <3 I haven't had it very long but have knocked out tons of things so far. And the Quality in My book is very good. I love that you can Tuck the Triangle in it's little slide in area for storage and also the little compartment [not so little] to put the scoring tool and more like say some pens are makers or even some stamps . CONS:only one the 4 little stickers that have the measurements on them in other languages is very very small print. Took me a little while to see what the stickers said to know what they were cause the print was so small. I don't need it but they could double the size of it and that would be perfect. Besides that it is perfect for me! :0)

## Questions & Answers

**Q: what size envelopes will it make and does it enclude instructions for each size**
A: You can make at least 8 sizes of envelopes with instructions directly on the envelope template. It may seem like its a bit tricky at first but once you make your first envelope it becomes quite clear, you just follow the same process with the larger sizes. I find it very easy to understand and I haven't had it long. My suggestion is if you are still unsure, youtube "making envelopes with scoreboard". Hope this helps. Oh, sizes that it shows are #1, 4 bar, A2, A6, A7, A9, 6" square, and #10 envelopes, shows what size paper to start with, then the A line scores, B line scores per envelope size. :)

**Q: What size paper can it score up to.**
A: Actually you can score more than 12" if the design has sort of "mirror" scoring, the same left side and right side. Let's suppose you have some 16 " x 16". Just score your first half (would 8"), for example 1/2, 2 3/8, 5 1/4 and 7 3/8. You just turn the paper 180º and start to score back again from the edge, but, I insist, this can only be useful if your scoring is "mirror-ed". The same from the height up/down scoring since the board is "open", doesn't have an ending edge to stop paper. Another option: You may score and crease so to put the last crease to the edge and go on till it's enough. This is useful when the scoring is not mirror-ed. Hope you get the ideas.

**Q: Is there a tool you use to cut the corners on the envelope?**
A: A corner rounder tool (punch) would work. You can also cut one freehand, perhaps making it a little more decorative. Just don't cut off too much. Some decorative corner punches by Kreaxions or any one else may help.

**Q: How can i make an envelope 5 1/4 by 5 1/4**
A: This isn't what you are asking but did you know that square envelopes will cost much more to mail? I don't know how many letters you plan on mailing but square may not be the way to go. https://weddingstamps.us/postage-square-envelopes

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Get the most for your money
*by V***H on June 10, 2014*

I bought the MS score board because I wanted to make my own wedding invitations. I had been making cards for a few months before purchasing it, and I was simply using my ruler to score cards before that. After getting used to it, I simply can't do without it. The perfect crease it creates is no match to folding and scoring manually. Why not the scor-pal? A lot of you might want an answer to this question. The scor-pal is another widely using scoring board in the papercrafting industry. People who use the scor-pal claim that the grooves in the scor-pal are deeper, therefore the scoring is much more easier. I do not own the scor-pal, so I can't compare them both. But as far as my experience with the MS score board goes, I love it. I find the depth of the grooves to be adequate for my needs (and for the price). The bone folder that comes along with it is a bit sharp so be careful while using it on copy papers. It is the only bone folder I have, and I am quite happy with it. It does leave a shiny edge on cardstock when you are scoring it, and some people find it a bit of a annoyance, and use teflon bone folders, which cost around $20. That's too much money for just avoiding a shiny edge, so I'll pass on that. I score all my cards on my scoreboard. But that is not what I most appreciate about it. I like making miniatures out of cardstock. I made a small Christmas village last year, and it wouldn't have been possible without the scoring board. I downloaded templates, printed them out, and scored all corners using the scoreboard. The project was a success, and the process was a breeze :) So if you are into papercrafts more than cardmaking this is one tool you will find a lot of use for. So, if you are a card-maker(not a scrapbooker) the mini scoring board is the one you should be looking for. It's small and handy, and does the same scoring as the scoreboard. Since you are making only cards, the dimensions should be just enough. The Envelope maker comes in handy when I want to make customized envelopes. But, I don't use this feature as much as I thought I would do. The little compartment on the top is very handy. I store my bone folder, my black felt tip pen, white uniball signo, glue pen, pencil and my eraser in it. The scoreboard is also sturdy enough. I've dropped it a couple of times from my desk, and no damage was done. I've been using the score board for 2 years now, and I have no complaints. I 100% recommend it for papercrafters.
