After getting the magnet out of the box and trying it on various things around the house I must admit I was pretty disappointed , it didn’t seem that strong, more like a 3kg pull rather than a 300kg one. I took it into the garage and my whole opinion changed. I attached it to a steel girder and it was so difficult to remove. Intrigued, I decided to test its true pulling power. Firstly I tried it on a sanding station weighing around 20lb, no problem. Then a workmate XL around 40lb still no problem. Back to the girder, I set up a little rig using a tow rope and one of my own “snap karabiner “. It wouldn’t take my weight ( I weigh 16.5-17st) but it very nearly did. My 14yr old son was swinging around on it no problem. I left the garage pretty impressed. There are some negatives though! I purchased the kit for a little extra. The karabiner supplied in the kit is very cheap and of poor quality, as is the rope and the gloves. If I was to purchase it again I would probably just buy the magnet & get a better quality rope and Karabiner from somewhere else for a couple of quid more. I would also buy a grappling hook.. Overall though it’s a great starter magnet for my son to start his new hobby.

Heard about magnet fishing a while ago. Was looking for something to kill some time and get by son off his computer and outside. Decided to buy a cheap magnet to see how we got on. My boy loves it and has found loads of items. Never seen him so interested in coins, bottle tops. Metal poles, hinges and general scrap. Seeing his face when he pulled out a safe and then an pick axe was something to remember. This is strong enough for most items although sometimes it drops off but that’s half the fun. Teaches kids to be careful, go slow and keep trying. Well worth the money

Strong magnet especially for the price. Gloves are standard quality, rope looks weak but is surprisingly strong. If you buy it make sure to use the locking glue properly otherwise you could lose the magnet.

It's a really nice low cost kit, delivered quickly and nice quality. Attempted to recover a drone from the bottom of a lake with it. It doesn't have much holding power on smaller objects but on larger metal surfaces you'll have a job to remove it

I purchased this to combat boredom for my son through the half term due to the British weather. I am very fortunate to live close to lots of waterways. The kit is simple enough to kids to use alone and the magnet itself is not too heavy. My son had no trouble casting it out to the opposite bank of the canal as the rope is very long and is strong enough to drag items and other canal debris the whole way. The magnet is strong enough that we hauled a scaffold pole with lots of reeds along the canal bed. My son was very impressed by how much attention he got from passers by asking what treasures he had found. We have used 3 or 4 times now and its a really fun way to spend some family time together.

Well slightly disappointed as I was looking forward to having some great fun starting out magnet fishing but unfortunately this magnet let itself down. To be fair the magnet is fairly strong as long as you get a good contact but I can't see it pulling the descriptions weight. As you can see in the pics with the magnet on the bolster, I will say that took some doing to get off. The rope on the other hand started to deteriorate and fray after only 2/3 hours. Only took 2 pics for an example but there are more frays along the length. I will say this would be ok for children, but if you want to get more out of magnet fishing I would probably recommend either a double sided or a 360 degree magnet. Hope this has helped.

Great, lots of fun! I wish it came with a wee carrying/storage case because it gets quite dirty as you can imagine and it’d be nice to have something like that to store it in.

Je me suis servis des aimants pour fixer mes stores roulant sur ma pergola en fer forger . le résulta est incroyable , une fois fixer plus rien ne bouge . Et en fin de saison j'ai retiré mes stores et je les ais fixer a la cave sur une barre métalique . plus besoin de percer , je les poses et je les retires quand je veux. Je conseille vivement .

J’ai acheté cet aimant pour tester la pêche à l’aimant avec mon fils et nous avons passé un super moment. L’aimant est puissant, il accroche facilement les objets métalliques et semble vraiment robuste. On a déjà remonté quelques petites trouvailles intéressantes et ça donne envie de repartir à chaque sortie. C’est une activité originale, ludique et en plus ça nettoie un peu les rivières. Très bon achat !

El acabado del imán es bastante bueno y la cuerda no lo sé porque no la he probado. Tengo que decir que el imán tiene una gran atracción, no es exactamente sobre esos kg. que ellos dicen, pero eso era de suponer. A ver, el imán debe estar muy cerca de la pieza férrica para que cumpla su función, menos de 15 m/m. más o menos, sino no hay atracción=0. Esa es mi experiencia con este imán.
