High quality bottarga
I have tried several different brands of bottarga just to compare, and so far I prefer the Supreme Bottarga Sardinian Gold. Great flavor and texture. I'm sure it is great on pasta or whatever you want to use it for, but I really like breaking off a little piece to nibble on while I drink some beers. The salt content pairs perfectly. Not too fishy or salty to be enjoyed by itself. It's not cheap, and probably not very healthy, but a nice occasional treat to enjoy.

Nice but subtle flavor
This was my first bottarga purchase, and after reading a number of reviews and recipes, I was surprised by the subtlety of the flavor. After cooking with it a few times, I find myself using more than most recipes call for, especially with pasta. That said, the flavor is unique and beguiling, reminiscent of anchovy but absolutely distinctive. As far as I can tell as a first-time user, the quality of the product is excellent. I expect to get 6 to 8 dishes (cooking for 2) out of this package. I've also tried the Mr. Moris bluefin tuna bottarga on Amazon, which is roughly the same size and price. That bottarga is considerably stronger and saltier, but otherwise the flavor profile is similar. I find myself using it a little more sparingly. Of the two, I'm more likely to reorder the tuna.

Not high-quality, exuberantly overpriced And bad customer service
I ordered is thinking I’m getting a high-quality item, but when I received it after sitting in my mailbox for four days!!! I was shocked of how tiny it is and that it didn’t come with an ice pack or anything I felt uncomfortable to eat it but I opened it and it smells fishy and slimy. I reach out to Customer Service explaining my discomfort and concerned that it was not backed and that I would prefer to return it please. Their answer was that ice pack with me in one day (Lame Cheap excuse for an overpriced item) . They told me I need to have the package unopened after obviously I explained it is open and that I would have to pay for return Mailing. I complained to Amazon and explained the situation. I have no idea how they are expecting customers to try their product to see if they like it without opening the package!!!! They’re just making it impossible for you to return the item and get your refund. That’s the bottom line. You wouldn’t even bother buying them. I’m telling myself now nearby store or European store and get it.

Taste of home
As it happens, I trace my origin (on my father's side) to the island of Sardinia, where this product originated. Yes, it's expensive but worth every penny. The flavor profile is exactly what I remember, salty with a hint of bitter brine reminiscent of the clear waters of the emerald coast of Sardinia. Grate it over a dish of tagliolini ai frutti di mare, some spaghetti alle vongole veraci, or even a simple dry pasta al dente with olive oil, capers, and black pepper, and you will have an instant hit. Go easy though, too much of it will be bitter and offputting.
