Works as expected, very fast connection

I bought a pc tower from my local public library that was phasing out their old pcs for new ones. When I brought it home, I found out that it doesn't have the ability to use wifi and needed to be connected by ethernet cable. Due to the layout of my home, it would be impossible for me to run an ethernet cable to my pc tower. I was looking for a solution and saw this, and I was skeptical because of the low price, but I had nothing to lose. This adapter is amazing. It took maybe 2 minutes to install and run the program onto my pc, and connecting to my home's wifi network was easy as possible. It takes a few seconds for the wifi to connect when you turn your pc on, but that's not an issue at all. The connection is super reliable. I use it for gaming and streaming and don't experience any unusual interruptions. I ended up buying another one for my dad because his pc's ethernet port got damaged. So I have been looking for a good wifi booster because my laptop does not have the best of ranges. Especially since my wifi router is outside my room and 30 feet down the hall. My last wifi dongle booster lasted a short sad time and I really needed to find something better. I looked around and found this one (out of three). I finally caved and bought it and I love it. Its easy to set up as software goes. It came with a thumb-drive instead of a disk which is great because my laptop has no disk drive. Its got great range and speed. The dual speed it uses makes it great with any internet so far. Strangely enough I really like its texture. It also comes with an extra cord (usb 3.0) to connect at better length. Easy to use, easy to store, and spiced up with a free gift of headphones they threw in. All in all, I recommend it to office workers and college students and laptop users!

This WiFi adapter does it's job pretty well. It came in it's own little box with an instruction manual and a flash drive with it's software. It was easy to install, just follow it's prompts and read the instruction manual if you have trouble. Over all the signal strength is acceptable. I was able to download games and programs onto my PC relatively quickly and I can stream videos with ease. I've been using it for a few months now and I only have had a few problems. I do get moments where the signal gets weak for a few minutes but it bounces back. I also get lag fairly often when playing online multiplayer games. I also have had a few times where I had to unplug it to because my computer wouldn't register it upon start up. Because of these reasons, I am giving this product 4 stars. Over all, this product does it's job. It allows you to browse the web, watch videos, and play online games. If you're wanting to completely avoid lag, I would look elsewhere. Personally, It works well for my needs right now. However, I would like to upgrade to a better WiFi adapter in the future.

***UPDATE*** Shocked!!! All I did was put the truth up in my review and this company reached out to me right away and offered a solution. That is GREAT customer service. I did not expect anything as it is an electronic device and sometimes it is luck of the draw, on top of the expense is not a huge loss if it did die. Thanks EDUP LOVE for caring about your customers. It's really nice to see, especially with the lack of customer service these days. *** Previous review *** Like I said above, worked great, for about 6 months. Now it throws my computer into error mode, and it locks up and has to diagnose, and then restart. Guess I will look for another brand.

The wifi signal, ease of install, the gaming. That would all be 5s, were it not now a small paper weight. I purchased the device when I moved into a friend house, where I would be the furthest from his router, 30+ feet away and through one of the exterior walls. The signal was fantastic and game okay was seamless on an MMO I frequent. My living situation was only temporary and I moved into a house where the wifi router was less then 10 feet from my pc and through an interior wall. Again the signal was good, but I want receiving the 5g which I found out. This was limiting my speed. I purchased another adapter from the same company but a different model, but even with the 5g it was capped at a lower speed then the first. I began to use this adapter again and was preparing to return the second one when this adapter stopped working all together. It shows as an unknown device and the light no longer comes on. It got roughly 90 days or more of use and died about 2 weeks before I was prompted for this review. Good luck if you buy this.

I've gotta say I'm pleased and surprised -- this thing does exactly what it's supposed to at a fairly low price. My mother-in-law just moved to an assisted living community. Her previous apartment had a direct broadband connection; she had an Ethernet cable going from the modem into the computer. Her new place, however, provides WiFi to all their residents... but her desktop has no WiFi adapter. A friend suggested a simple USB adapter. Although I didn't recognize the manufacturer, this one had pretty good reviews (and an attractive price). It arrived quickly and was packaged nicely. The installation software comes on a flash drive. Put it in, type "Setup", it does its thing. Select the appropriate network and you're good to go! I haven't clocked the actual transmission speed; she's only going to use it for E-mail, watching YouTube, and the occasional Zoom session. It's working beautifully for all of those. I'm happy to recommend it.

Muy bueno. Tenía un problema ya que se me desconectaba el portátil del wifi. Al emparejarlo con este adaptador de acabó el problema. Muy fácil de instalar con el pincho que trae, pilla la señal sin ningún problema y con una gran estabilidad. Muy recomendable.
