I recently got into baking birthday cakes for friends and family and these velvet sprays have been an absolute show stopper! Although I have experience spraying a variety of paints in residential, automotive and fine art applications, this spray is so easy to use that even a newbie who’s never picked up a rattle can before will be creating professional finishes in no time. A word of advice - you WILL coat your entire work area in a fine mist of this stuff, so creating an adequate ‘paint booth’ is a must (this can be as simple as taping up a few large trash bags to act as tarps). In the event that you do get some overspray, it cleans up fairly easily so it’s not that much of a big deal. This spray is light, elegant and doesn’t impart any flavor or scent so you needn’t worry about it interacting with the delicate flavors of the cake. Although it’s expensive at roughly $46/can, it’s worth every penny and it will last you quite a while which helps offset the cost.

Love it! Added just the right amount of texture to my cake. I covered it in black fondant then sprayed it on. No drip spray. Sprayed even and true "black".

An unexpectedly nice addition to a desert. It’s basically a thin spray coating for any dessert. Worth the price for a special dessert.

This is a very easy to use spray, but the color is much darker than I expected for "milk chocolate." I ended up using cocoa powder over it to give it a more accurate color.
