It worked fine from the time I purchased it until December 2022. It just died. I had a manuscript for my book on it the night That I closed it, it was fine all content intact. Next morning nothing I worked with it for weeks and nothing. It is still under manufacturers warranty until 13 April 2023. However, I have not been able to reach anyone at Bipra. And I have tried every source listed and suggested, Does anyone know how to get in touch with a "person" at Bipra? I had to start over from scratch with my manuscript. Only I'm using two back up sources this time...HELP!!!!!!!!

I used this to back up my MacBook Air. It shipped quickly and came with all necessary connectors. After a quick reformatting, I was able to back up everything (using Time Machine) within a couple hours of the unit arriving. Docked one star because it's cover is cheap, thin plastic -- but for the price, it's a good buy.

I just wanted an easy to use and inexpensive but good quality backup for my laptop, and this does the job very nicely. Plug it in, drag-and-drop your files onto it, and you're good to go. I'd only bought this as a temporary solution but it's working so well that I think I will be using this for years to come! The included pouch is not impressive quality, but for price I'm fine with purchasing something nicer to carry it.

This drive works well, but is of very flimsy construction compared to other small portable drives I use. However, it reformatted easily and works as advertised. It is a good value, but I would not use it for long term storage of valuable files. Time will tell on the durability.

Just received this unit today. It is plug and play. The PC recognized it immediately. I did however reform the drive since it comes formatted as FAT. Some Window system level programs require NTFS. The drive was reformed and I'm off to the races.Good drive for the price. We will see how long it lasts.

I use mine to hold all my school work and family videos/ pictures. It holds everything and nothing I see in it has disappeared or glitched out. Great for when you need to periodically back-up things in case something bad happens to your laptop or desktop.

I guess this is a very good product despite the fact that it didn't include operating instructions. The back of the box doesn't count and neither does having to call someone for help with setting this up. Bad show!

when i bought this, i thought it was great. But unfortunately it has now failed, losing all of my data (10 years worth of work, plus photos and video's i can't get back). I contacted Bipra to ask about the warrenty, and apparently it is only for 1 year - my external hard drive is 1 year and 9 months old; which i don't think is particularly old. I asked if they could help with data recovery, and they just said i should contact a local expert. I now have to make the decision whether or not to spend anywhere between £300-800 to attempt to get my data back. If you do buy this, be prepared for it not to last long and back everything up somewhere else too.

Needed this to allow me to install Microsoft upgrades as my small laptop does not have the storage capacity. however awaiting the arrival of my IT literate Godson to see if this works (beyond me) so will update later.

I've bought several Bipra products over the years and unlike some other reviewers never had a problem with any of them. They are compact, look good and work out of the box.
