Socially Savvy an Assessment and Curricu

As a BCBA who works mostly with young children & adolescents, I'm thrilled to have this resource to add to my collection! I hadn't seen this in person before but feel like I made a great choice in purchasing this product- I will definitely get a lot of use from the assessment and curriculum. It is thorough, and hits a lot of crucial areas for targeting. I have already shared it with coworkers, including those who work with adults as there are great group ideas and skills that can be targeted across ages (for instance, asking to use another's possessions).

This book serves as a great reminder to both educators and parents on the importance of social skills. With our current educational model, teachers focus primarily on the academic side of school due to all the state testings students have to endure. As a result, the classroom setting could be quite dull. "Socially Savvy" reminds us all that students learn through play and social interactions more so than they would in a sterile environment. This book provides a plethora of wonderful activities that can easily be implemented within the classrooms. I am so pleased with my purchase and cannot wait to implement these activities in my classroom.

I've used this assessment several times and found it very helpful identifying holes in skills we were addressing. The goals to address the goal are a great place to start and tailor to fit your student/client's individual needs.
