    Pretty Good

This is a pretty good lo-fi album. It reminds me of a little bit of 'let it be' era replacements mixed with a little modest mouse. I really like that the vocals are in the bottom of the mix and are hardly audible. I think this is great because you have to strain to hear the words witch makes them more important. I did find that some of the songs were a little to sparse and repetitive but on a whole it was a good listening experience.

    I'm enjoying this

This is a very pleasant debut. It's got jangly guitars such as you might hear in the Trashcan Sinatras, it's got vocal harmonies such as you might hear in Dr. Dog or Grizzly Bear, and it's got just a tinge of the darkness you might hear in The National. Very glad to have downloaded this, and I look forward to more.

Awesome Shoegaze/Surfer Rock for a Summer Day

*by D***R on Reviewed in the United States on April 15, 2013*

I came across this album thanks to an episode of How I Met Your Mother which featured the lead track, "Beach Comber".I love the sound of this band- it's as if they just dropped a mic in the middle of a warehouse and started playing. Their music conjures up images of a warm sunny day just hanging out by the beach. It's a definite go-to record whenever I feel stressed out.The three major stand-out tracks are "Beach Comber", "Fake Blues", and "Green River".Unfortunately, this album does take a bit of an energy nose-dive right from the get-go. "Beach Comber" has a fairly peppy sound to it, but the energy fades off during "Pool Swimmers" and doesn't come back until "Fake Blues". Track order aside, this is still a pretty solid album and a high recommendation if you're a fan of surfer rock, or just want some good tunes to chill out to while driving on a sunny summer day.
