Edit/update: some 3-4 days after I wrote my review. Y’all, I can’t even begin. I have had a bump on a knuckle for almost couple of yrs.. The result of an old injury. This bump tell the weather, painful with rain.Without noticing when, that bump is gone. I have stuck to 2x day massages & I just can’t believe what this product can do.I had heard about Devils Claw years ago, but never found any to try. You can find anything now & Wow what a find.Even a cloudy day brings slight swelling, stiffness, & pain. It’s been cloudy, rainy for a week or more. Plus, my hand wants to suffer from contracture. A daily palm massage has, so far, kept me from requiring a Doctor to manage. If that is possible, seems to be for me.The moment I opened the package I sat down & massaged it into my hand. Feeling that I have tried a thousand different things, I went about my business. No expectations. Within 10-20 minutes it hit me, my knuckles weren’t throbbing. Amazing. I only apply as needed & certainly before bed.It’s rained for several days. My 2x daily massaged hand with this Devils Claw keeps the swelling to a minimum. My knuckles don’t feel locked or throbbing.It feels greasy, but absorbs for the most part. My garden hands are baby soft.A true winner for me!

This stuff is incredible! It’s better then Voltaren. It’s better than icy hot. It’s better than a muscle relaxer. Seriously. Just try it! 100% pain free within minutes. It lasts for about 6-8 hours and then you’ll need to reapply. But I swear it takes the pain away! No nasty side effects like beingjng groggy or smelly. You won’t be sorry!

Works well on my knees and lower back.

The only thing that could be improved with this product is the coconut oil in it. As with collagen, the coconut oil molecules are too large to pass thru skin (that’s right, your collagen beauty creams are wasting your money if it hasn’t been micronized) so there’s a greasy feel to this. Coconut oil doesn’t moisturize in the sense that it soaks in and adds moisture, it merely sits on top and acts as a barrier to evaporation hence helping skin retain its existing moisture content. So, this devil’s club ointment works great, but since I was using this on some arthritis from broken bones in hand, I had to be careful not to smear coconut oil on things or wear a glove. It works GREAT, devils club is the only thing I’ve found to help with pain especially when a finger joint starts throbbing so bad I seriously consider getting the surgery to fuse the joint recommended by dr. Also have an old tendon injury to thumb and it hurt so much it was pretty useless. This arrived and I rubbed it in base of thumb at wrist. After dinner went to brush my teeth and without thinking grabbed and squeezed the tube with bad hand…. only a slight twinge and I was like what? Oh yeah, wasn’t supposed to use that hand. It works that well. It’s really worth trying if you have stubborn pain, just be aware of the greasiness, give the product a while to soak in then you can wipe off the coconut oil. If they replaced that with castor oil which acts as a transporter and would actually help ferry the devil’s club thru skin barrier then this product would be worth 10 stars.

This salve works on dry skin, itchy skin, a scratch or cut before putting on a band-aid. It soothes your neck or feet or fingers when you rub it in.

Not to good

I like to do rigorous workouts (running, HIIT, free weights) and while stretching helps I develop piriformis syndrome from time to time. It's essentially the muscle next to my sciatic in spasm and it doesn't matter how much I stretch I'm essentially unable to walk for days. My mom bought this for the dog's arthritis and kept telling me to put it on when I was visiting and useless on the couch due to the piriformis. Within 10 minutes I was walking with next to no pain. Same goes for my back that can tie up a few days after a workout. I put some on my back and shoulders and the bothersome knots are gone. Not only that I had no idea how much tension I was carrying in the shoulders and neck from being hunched over my laptop working. Everything relaxes and feels so much better. I can't believe it. Best stuff. I will say it doesn't help me with joint pain or anything not muscle related. Guess we'll have to find something else for the dog, but outside of that, incredible stuff.
