I love this brand of shag rug. I have 4 in various shapes and sizes. So soft and quality material.

After reading many negative reviews I was skeptical about purchasing this rug. There were many horror reviews about the rug not being anything close to what was pictured or described. The one thing I didnt see were any pictures or evidence proving how bad this product was. Me being the stubborn guy that I am decided to go against common sense thinking and I ended up purchasing the rug. Let me say I couldn't have been more surprised or happy with the quality, color, softness,texture of this rug. I agree it doesn't look like the picture, I honestly think it looks better in person in my opinion. I've attached a few pictures to give an idea to those interested on what to expect. I am very pleased with this purchase and would do it again in I a heart beat. If I had to be picky and list a con the only thing I would say is its quite thin. I would recommend placing some padding underneath but other than that. Great buy!

I'm writing a short review hoping another buyer doesn't make the same mistake and deal with the hassle of returning a large area rug. First, the quality of these rugs for the price is A+ so if you find the right color - I'd highly recommended purchasing a Safavieh, no question. But, their coloring system is a little bonkers. Each style has its own color name even though it's often the same material. I struggled between the Paris Shag in "Ivory" and the Venice Shag "Pearl" as photos from Safavieh and reviewers are inconsistent. The challenge with both of these high-sheen rugs is that light is going to reflect different shades of the same color so variations are to be expected. However, in the case of both Ivory and Pearl -- to me they are much closer to a creme than white. My photo shows a $2K rug that I'm trying to match; this rug is labeled as "Natural" -- not pure white. Depending on the direction of the light, will look ivory / pearl. I've put my wife's jewelry up to it to confirm that Safavieh's naming system isn't accurate. When you compare that rug with Safavieh's Ivory, it's clear that Ivory looks very creme and almost pinkish under morning sunlight. I'm reordering a New Orleans Off-White in hopes that it will be closer to the Natural that I'm trying to match from a high-end dealer. All-in-all a great rug manufacturer and very high quality but their coloring system is hard to judge online.

I agree with what most positive reviewers are stating. It sheds a tiny bit as do all shag carpets but not excessively, yes you need to weigh down the edges and it does smell a bit for a few days. It's very silky and luxurious and gives a high impact for a fairly low price. The silver is beautiful; the colour varies as the nap lifts but is not metallic or cheap-looking, just lustrous. Because it's so large and HEAVY (I bought 10x14), I ordered a sample 2x3 to try it out and returned it for full refund when I ordered the correct size. Full size is even nicer than the sample. I don't think the large size needs an underpad as it doesn't slip around and is plush and the binding doesn't show on larger sizes but smaller sizes will definitely have issues on both counts. You do feel the plastic lumps that encase the tufts so 1/8" or 1/4" underpadding may help a bit if you walk barefoot on it. I suggest you wait and try it first before ordering underpadding as good ones are kind of expensive. As happy as I am with the carpet, I'm dismayed that 2 weeks later it's listed for over $150 less than I paid! I'm hoping I can get a price adjustment.

I could not be happier with this rug! I purchased the Silver color and it's pretty much as pictured. Med/dark gray one way, light gray/silver the other. It has a beautiful sheen and the texture is just so, so soft. As soon as we put it down, my ten year old did a snow angel on it! As with any area rug, when we unrolled it, it was curled at either end. A quick flip and reverse roll straightened it out in seconds. This rug on top of room carpeting so it has plenty of padding, but if you're putting this on a hard floor, definitely consider a pad underneath as the backing of this rug is rather thin (and I imagine it would slip around on a smooth surface.) It seems to be well made and the fibers (strings? I don't know what the technical term) seem very well attached to the backing. Awesome rug at a great price. Definitely recommend.

bought this rug for my living room and after installing it.. i was shocked to come home daily and there were strings everywhere.. we vacum and vacumned but no change. within days i reached out to the company about it been defective and the ask me to ship back the rug at my own cost. it weighs over 100lbs and i had to get someone to take it off and tried for day to pack it up. shipped with almost $120 via fedex to them. am highly dissappointed about my experience with this company. its not amazon but a third party company selling on amazon. pls beware when shopping with 3rd party vendors here cos i have spend another $300 for shipping back and installation. amazon needs to handle issues like this for their customers. very very bad

Absolutely exactly what i was looking for and I couldn't be happier with this rug! I ordered the 3x5 foot in sable and it matches my decor perfectly. Its silky and dense and has a very sturdy woven fiber back...nothing cheap looking about it and for under $100, it's beyond worth it! I previously had a white area rug in a similar material but it was impossible to keep clean, especially having 2 cats that loved to puke on it. Lol The sable colour looks like a light taupe from a distance but the colour up close is a mix of dark chocolate and light beige as you can see in my photo. Great quality and highly recommended!

Der Teppich kommt der Farbbeschreibung "schokolade" recht nahe, ich würde ihn allerdings eher als moussefarben bezeichnen. Aber, wie so oft, es gibt unzählige Möglichkeiten, Farben zu benennen und wichtig ist nur, dass das Produkt gefällt. Das schafft der bequeme, weiche Teppich, der sehr plüschig ausgeführt wurde. Ich laufe auch barfuß gerne auf ihm und meine Katzen lieben es, sich in ihn zu legen. Scheinbar ist es auch für sie ein toller Platz.

The quality is fantastic and I love the size! It looks so expensive too which is an added bonus when it was such good value for money!

Der dicke Teppich wirkt sehr gemütlich und hat durchaus schick, allerdings wäre Polyester nicht unbedingt das Material meiner Wahl gewesen. Tatsächlich ist er aber ganz angenehm unter den Füssen. Nach dem Auspacken fiel mir kein unangenehmer Geruch auf, so gesehen ist hier alles okay. Wer es flauschig mag und nicht auf Tierhaar steht, kann hier sicherlich glücklich werden.
