After gently releasing the balls either as individual balls of the connected block drop them in the lukewarm water until all the edges are melted off. These molds are nice that they do, I feed, make ice balls. My only negative is that both sides are silicone and unless you have a flat spot in your freezer to place these then you will have issues with spillage. Also, slightly squeezing them, which is sort of inevitable, will ooze water out of the little hole on top as well.
