Fine, vibrant green tea powder just as described. Package came much quicker than expected. First time user and I was surprised I actually enjoyed the taste. Suggestion is to ensure you whisk the powder in the hot water upfront and ensure you receive a green foamy top. If you read up on "matcha" which explains that the caffeine release does not happen all at once with matcha. Instead, it has a continual release throughout the day. Everyone's system is different and I would assume some require more than a half teaspoon while others need a full teaspoon. For me, I used the full teaspoon and had to cut back.Pros: Takes less time to make in the morning than coffee; Nothing needs to be added to it to enjoy it, but you always have the option based on your own taste; With a half teaspoon, I found I did not need to have anything further during the day as one cup of tea lasted the entire day; No highs or lows were experienced with this product; Switched right to matcha from coffee with no side effects or headaches; Felt better overall throughout the day...completely unexpected result.Cons: Cannot locate a larger quantity (e.g., 10 oz. or more of Epic Matcha Green Tea) to use going forward and will have to purchase from another vendor that does offer it in bulk; there are several articles out there warning folks about having too much green tea and since there is no definite medical determination at this time, the recommendation is to have no more than two cups a day.

I am an extremely positive person who likes to find the best in everything, however this matcha is not ceremonial grade. I paid a ceremonial grade price and upon opening my matcha container I can tell right away how bad the quality is based on color alone. Very very dull green color almost yellowish. I’m extremely disappointed an could have gotten 16-20oz of culinary matcha at this price for the same quality. Don’t buy!!

Not the best matcha. Upon opening the package, I immediately noticed that the green color is paler than what I'm used to with ceremonial grade matcha. It also didn't have that nice distinct matcha smell when you first open the package. With regards to taste, it's okay. It's not bitter or gross like a culinary grade matcha, but it did not meet my expectations for a ceremonial grade. It also did not form that gorgeous froth and remained relatively flat. If your main goal is to stay awake, it'll do. But I prefer to enjoy my cup of matcha in the morning, and I personally did not find this enjoyable.

Ceremonial grade matcha has all different types of qualities ranging from divine to absolute crap.The color was alright, but the taste was very thin and bitter when preparing usucha and revolting when making koicha. Definitely can't make a good ceremonial bowl of matcha.Even when I mixed it with 16.9 fl oz of chilled bottled water, the flavor profile was hollow and did not leave any hints of amino acids or umami.It's not the worst matcha I have tried on Amazon, but I don't consider this to be high quality ceremonial matcha. Perhaps it was once good, but by the time it reached my doorstep it was not as good as I had hoped it would be from a brand called Epic Matcha.

LOVE LOVE LOVE!I can't get enough of this stuff. The taste is great and very refreshing!! It keeps me alert and energized without crashing. It comes in an airtight container which keeps the Matcha fresh. I mix half a teaspoon in a water bottle and drink it at work. I can't wait to bake with it. The company even sent me a hand written note thanking me for my purchase. Very classy, yet professional. I've recommended this product to many of my friends and now they're hooked!

This was not ceremonial grade even though it is labelled as such. It has a brownish hue, colour is murky and not bright green, and is extremely bitter. Very disappointed. Completely undrinkable.

I purchased this based on the rave reviews and pricing. It has been out of stock for a long time so I was anxious to try it! Usually the more expensive matcha tastes better, but this brand is somewhat bitter, and a lighter green. I've tasted better, but I've also tasted worse.
