Through vision, pursuit and American ingenuity, we have become a brand synonymous with the athlete. Like all athletes we work with an intense spirit of competition, but unlike the others, we refuse to stop there. From the planning stages to the production floor, everything we do revolves around synthesizing creativity, experience and sheer will power. For us, engineering the fastest, most advanced performance products is more than just a goal, it's a requirement. At TYR, we're always in front. Review: Good design - This paddle has 3 strings so it does a good job in keeping your hand from moving freely. I find it very helpful to keep wrist from bending in freestyle, increasing power of catch and pull. Also its wide area helps to increase drags and hence, helps to improve endurance. I will keep it. Review: Good design, easy to use, very functional - I bought these having read the reviews for a number of other paddles, and I am very pleased with my choice. I wanted something that would help improve my stroke and develop shoulder strength without injury. I bought the small paddles - so far so good. The design is good -- they extend past the wrist to keep the hand and forearm inline. Multiple strap configurations allow you to get a custom fit. I have been using them for two weeks, sparingly -- no more than 600 yards in a 3,000 yard workout. I feel my catch improving and no shoulder problems. If you are considering using paddles I urge you, like others have already done, to be conservative: use small paddles first and limit their use. Build slowly.

helped me learn the 2-beat kick and swim my first triathlon
This paddle helped me train/learn the 2-beat kick and swim my first triathlon (1500m). Like any paddle, it will slow down your stroke rate significantly. In four months, I went from wearing googles for the first time / not being able to swim / breath, to finishing a 1500m swim in 37minutes--though I don't recommend it.

Swim paddles
These were much bigger than I had imagined and I find them cumbersome for swimming even though I bought the smallest size. I used them twice and now don't take them to the pool.
