Better than the original barstool bearing. This one is quieter, moves easier and yet feels stronger and sturdier. We used to get beat up my this barstool back support when we walked by. The stool back support is at the right height for a Charlie horse in the bicep. We’ve learned to be more careful, but now the stool swivels easily away when we bump into it. Disadvantage: there’s far less money in the swear-jar for family outings. The reason for this great new change is the ball bearings. The replaced one had a plastic bracket inside to hold only 8 or 10 ball bearings. The groove in this barstool seat bearing is packed with balls!

When the swivel on my rocker recliner failed I thought I would have a major problem finding a replacement. Lo and behold there it was on Amazon and priced right. It arrived the next day and was the exact sized unit on the chair. Perfect fit. Chair swivels like new again. Great product.

I used these to replace the ones that failed in my bar stools and they are heavy duty and worked. MADE IN CHINA. Good Luck BP

Super duper great sideways! Cartwheel! Think hamster wheel for a cat! Quiet!

My adult son drops in our swivel chair like he's been shot. He destroyed the original ball bearing base on the chair he was sitting on to play video games. This base is used in a lot of different furniture manufacturers products. It's easy to install and holds up well unless abused. I had him replace the bearing plate. Use the holes on the bottom of the chair to remove the base from the seat the remove the bearing plate. It was so easy he was able to do it himself with little guidance.... (don't tighten down the screws until all of them are started)

Works good but very heavy

My original swivel stools have always been hard to rotate and had only gotten worst Over the years so I ordered this one to try out. To my surprise being this one was advertised to be heavy duty once installed I found it was so easy to swivel it. Being since my stools are rather lite and cheap I was afraid it would be too heavy duty. I’m definitely ordering more to replace my other stool swivels.

It has performed excellently with smooth, silent, solid rotary motion. The swivel is the perfect way on which to base a large rotating heavy chair. Thank you Amazon for marketing this great product. This based worked perfectly to replace my swivel base on my bucket . It’s sturdy and well priced.

Great size and sturdiness. Once you find screws, bolts, and re-drill needed holes, works perfectly. No instructions, tools or hardware supplied.

Not exactly square. Works great though.
