Perfect for what I needed

Thought about buying a dedicated powered nibbler but in the end decided to buy this for £30 instead and use it with a power drill. I thought I'd first give it a go with 2mm mild steel sheet, (the spec says the max thickness is 1.8mm), and it went through it quite easily. It does produce annoying little swarf nibbles which have to be swept up but in fairness they all do that. All in all very pleased with it and glad I didnt spend hundreds on a power nibbler for the amount it will get used.

It cuts through metal perfectly but the guide is not suitable for distance less than 3 cm. So going straight is not easy. If the fastening screw on the guide pin was not on the top, but on the side than this would be reduced to less than 2 cm. Less than 1 cm would be great.

I wanted to cut panels from the sides of my van to install windows. This nibbler made it very easy to do. The only thing was that it couldn't cut right down to the line I required so I had to grind/ file round the edge to level the cut with the inner panel skin. Also a wee bit difficult going round corners. But overall it worked well.

bought for a sepfic job and works well enough we are short the guidance arm in the packet but it still works well enough
