Great buy, great value. And just what my wife wanted and needed. She described to me the type of mirror she was wanting to get for our master bathroom, and asked me to try and find her one on Amazon. My search quickly led me to this one, especially because of its very high percentage of 5-star reviews (90% as of this writing). I'm happy to report that all those rave reviews were spot on. This is a VERY well made extension mirror. It's quite substantial (as in hefty), it's solid, and it's very strong in every respect. If treated properly, it should last an exceedingly long time. It has a stylish, retro design, and absolutely looks great with its matte brushed nickel finish. It'll bring a touch of class to your bathroom or wherever you mount it. Speaking of which, it was a breeze to mount on our bathroom wall. Just make sure you first find a stud in the wall to drive the included screws into. This is important, because the mirror will definitely need the stud's support. Here are my wife's thoughts about the extension mirror: "Sheesh, I feel so silly. Why didn't I get one of these years ago? All the years of stretching and bending over the sink to look closely at my face, to put make-up on, or to pluck my eyebrows--when I could have saved myself A LOT of trouble by using a handy mirror like this one!" "Well, better late than never. This DecoBros extension mirror is just what I needed. Now it is so much easier--and more enjoyable--to do my daily facial routines." "I love that the mirror is 2-sided, with one side being normal magnification and the other being 7x magnification. So no more using reading glasses to put on my make-up! LOL I can so easily see what I'm doing. In fact, you can see your whole face. And the fact that it adjusts back and forth so conveniently like an accordion is fantastic." Really nice quality item for a great price. I picked this one over a similarly priced one, because of its hanging system. It has a support plate to attach to the wall first, so any appropriate screws may be used, regardless of their finish. ( I used the screws and anchors provided on our plaster and lathe walls with no problems.) Then you mount the rest of the mirror onto that part, with the perfectly matching nuts, so the hanging screws are not visible. It looks very nice and feels structurally quite strong. The hinging of the mirror is also stiff enough to hold it in whatever position I need, which is important. I do not have children in my household, but in case we have any visitors, I have it mounted slightly high, so I'm not worried about any pinched fingers. (I am also tall and this is actually at my face height anyway. ) There is another model of these type of mirrors which does not have the accordion folding support which would probably be best for those who want to mount it lower with little ones around. Overall I am quite happy with this purchase.

I broke mine and got this one as a replacement. Seems to be built well and is sturdy. Mirror has 2 sides and the 7x side will show you things you probably don’t want to see, so if your vision isn’t 20/20 this is the ticket. Nice looking mirror I can fold out of the way

I ordered this item to replace an IKEA mirror (also very good) of similar design but less magnification. This mirror is 7X and my IKEA mirror was, I believe, 3X. This mirror is well made, looks great, and works as described. My wife is very happy that it helps her see a lot better with its 7X magnification. Happily, the mirror's installation holes lined up with the holes for the IKEA mirror that I replaced, so all is good. The mirror is also bigger than the IKEA mirror, which is also a plus. The only reason that I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 is the weight. This mirror is a lot heftier than the mirror I replaced, so I am hoping that the old anchors (which were not small anchors) will hold this for the long term. And, just to be clear, this mirror is not too heavy, it is just heavier than the previous mirror due to its larger size and solid construction.

What a gorgeous mirror. My old mirror, probably from Bed, Bath, and Beyond, had broken (it had simply stopped wanting to be attached to its base and fell off) and I wanted a replacement. This mirror was larger than the last one I owned, better made that the last one I owned, and was just far superior to any I'd ever seen. Easy to install, check. Easy to retract and pull out for use, check (although it did require a little WD-40 on the hinge), and just a great, clear image that's been easy to keep shiny-new clean. Can't say enough about how happy I am with this beautiful addition to my bathroom. Well done, designers!

Very easy to mount on the wall with the included hardware. All of the joints are very tight though so it is hard to pull out and push back. Hopefully it loosens up a little before it pulls the screws out of the wall. Great quality and looks great in my bathroom.

This was easy to install. I think it is really nice quality for the price. It can get wobbly sometimes but other than that it is pretty tight and moves well. As far as of now, it is a great mirror to have. I got this because I started shaving my head and I need to be able to see in the back of my head and this works very well for that reason. The 7X though is not as good as I expected, but that does not bother me because I won't be using it. Overall, for the price, I think it is good. I just hope it will last a long time. If it does not last, I will update my review to help you get a better product.

Had difficulty finding it locally, is exactly what was needed for a bathroom remodel. The magnifying is excellent especially if you need bifocals like myself, I can easily do my makeup.

I love everything about this extendable makeup mirror. It is more expensive than others on this sight, but the quality is excellent, so it’s worth the difference. The brushed nickel finish is very classy. Great purchase!
