Can you use these to hold the heat coils in place in the kilns ?

I have never used them for this. I have used them to fuse into glass pieces so think if you can get them to hold the coil they would not melt. but whether they would hold I do not know. I do not think they would harm the coils. So you may want to try.

When fired do these have a fire scale on them?

Mine turned a dark color but no fire scale at cone 6.

Can these be used in a microwave kiln?

You said you used them with fused glass with no problems and when you did it was in a microwave kiln?

do these work for soldering to stain glass ornaments?

I don’t know. We use them in clay & fire the pieces to 2100 degrees F. Don’t know anything about soldering to glass.
