I have purchased Jenolite products for my older cars for over 38 years. Cars now have better rust protection and anti corrosive warranties but even with all types of cars Jenolite products are a must against rust. All metal rusts with the oxidation process - the question is can it be stopped? The answer is Yes as long as you are proactive in stopping it. My current car is a 26 year old diesel.It has has never had any structural mot fails or any need for any welding at all.The car underside is perfect as are the sills and wheel arches - all areas that are at greater risk from rust damage because of their exposure to the elements. This product is effective with rust treatment. Surface rust that has not penetrated deep into the metal can be treated easily by spray application. For hard to reach areas and It will even spray upside down for a short period. You can to even avoid spillage from spraying by pouring it into a small beaker and apply it by a brush instead. To illustrate the effectiveness recently I had some surface rust on my rear wiper arm which had resulted in the black paint peeling. Using this product I was able to get rid of the rust by a simple brush application and then wait for to work it’s magic. The rust completely disappeared revealing the clean metal thus allowing me to touch it up using black spray paint. When applied to any painted finish on car body work the natural paint colour is unaffected (as long as the rust has not perforated too much into the paint) and in similar fashion the rust is removed. Where the rust is more invasive and the paint top coat has been damaged by rust the area after treatment will turn black. The treated area will then be ready for any additional preventative application or left as it is. You need to wear protective gloves and eye protection when using this product and you need to avoid getting this on any plastics or rubber. Overall an excellent product which can be used for any metal garden furniture as well. Update - My car passed the MOT again on 22/11/22 with no advisories. This stuff works.

Read the reviews online for this and was surprised at how good it is. It needs warming (put mine in hot water) and shaking well. But after sprayinbg it it would clog up so took it apart and on the suxction pipe bottom there is a mesh filter that gets blocked so removed that and no more clogging. But after spraying the areas under my car you could see the difference and looked way better. So bought more bottles and did 3 other cars.

Jenolite rust converter is as it always was, good stuff. Converts rust to a lovely stable purple/black surface. Cracking stuff. This time I bought the spray bottle, I had a larger surface to do and figured id save time. It wasn't great. The spray bounces off somewhat and a small blobs of jenolite goes hither and yon. You will get it on you and it's not particularly good for you (wear lots of PPE, if its in your eyes you will have a bad afternoon!) and so this is far from ideal. Worse still, instead of a nice even coverage it sprays in a blob as its quite viscous so you still need a brush to spread it about into the nooks and crannies anyway! Defeats the purpose of the spray makes the job messier and you still brush it on anyway! Save the extra cost, use the brush on jenolite as you'll be brushing it anyway. Cheaper, cleaner, does same job. If you do need rust conversion, jenolites spot on.

Spray didn't work after shaking the bottle. Decided too much liquid in the bottle as shaking felt very ineffective. Spray was blocked at bottom and looked as if the liquid had almost solidified at the bottom of the bottle. Removed some of the liquid and shook vigorously for several minutes. Same result. Looked like the small white insert at the bottom of the tube was still blocking. Removed and it worked! What a pain. Haven't used yet as had this problem

Seems to be good stuff, long term results will judge.

Trigger spray does not work, I have tried to prime it but still will not spray.

Bon produit efficace pour convertir la rouille. Il n'est pas toujours très simple à appliquer, je ne sais pas pourquoi parfois il n'agit pas, il faut en remettre jusqu'à ce qu'il devienne bleue foncé. Je trouve l'applicateur par pulvérisation intéressante sur le papier, dans le réel il se bouche et finit par ne plus être si efficace. Le jet permet parfois d'atteindre des endroits difficile, cependant.

This product does what it promises: stop rust an convert it, and prevent it from reoccuring. Saved our old boat and car!

Excellent product. Surfaces must be thoroughly sanded before applying. Best to have a paint brush at hand as this product is not a paint spray, so do not expect the spray nozzle to give you even distribution of the contents. After applying even out with a paint brush.
