Sword Art Online SAO Steel Sword with Sheath-Kirito Elucidator, Asuna, Kirigaya

This sword is great!! I bought it for myself because I love SAO and I also have a thing for swords. It by no means is battle ready, but for $90 the craftsmanship is very good. No wobble in handle, it is about half tang, so if you do want to swing it around I'd recommend holding on the top half of the handle. You always get what you pay for with swords, and this is a good quality display that you can swing around without worries, but don't go trying to cut down trees or slice fruit. (it's sharpened)

I'm content with the sword, for the price it was an okay buy. There are a few cosmetic issues here and there, not a big deal because I could always add a little paint and fine tune the small things.However, my biggest concern is that the integrity of the sword I received wasn't up to par with my standards when buying a sword.While I was inspecting the sword, I noticed that there is a crack in the blade itself towards the tip. Now of course I got this sword for decoration purposes, but the fact that there is a crack in the blade baffles me.How did this sword get through quality inspection? I'm not 100% sure how deep the crack goes but I hope it doesn't run too far into the blade.I want to give a higher review but a crack in a blade that got sold to me is just ridiculous and uncalled for.Be weary when buying this, I'm not expecting perfection but a defective blade is definitely a no go.For pictures:Couldn't get a good angle on the crack but it's towards the top third of the blade at the tip. It's deeper than the picture shows but my camera wouldn't focus on it.Silver paint looks like it was haphazardly painted on, below it in the hilt there's a scuff as if a tool or something was dropped on it.

A piece broke off within a day of receiving it I believe it came broken we just didn't realize it until the next day. The company's been great we treat earned it they handled the situation awesome

First of all, the shipping was incredible. I placed the order December 30th and received it this afternoon (1.4.16), I was really impressed with how quickly the sword came, when it was scheduled to arrive on the 11th or 12th. It was packaged very securely and safely, the box it came in wasn't damaged at all, which was very pleasing. Overall, Elucidator's beautiful! It's true to the anime, well balanced, and put together very well. There were a few scratches in the paint by the hilt from being in the sheath (I'm assuming), but it's nothing major. The only major complaint I have is that there's a fairly big crack in the side of the sheath. I'm not sure if the crack formed since the box was sitting outside my house in the cold this morning for a couple of hours or if something happened during manufacturing/shipping unrelated to the quality and security of the packaging itself. Overall, I'm incredibly happy with this and I know my boyfriend is going to love it for our anniversary! (He's planning on getting me Lambent Light!)**Update: I contacted Top Swords about the damaged sheath about a day or so after it initially arrived and they promptly shipped out a new sheath that arrived within 2 days in perfect conditions and was also very securely packaged.Thank you Top Swords!

The sword arrived today and it is amazing! I don't like the wood sheath but that's personal taste. The sheath has a minor ding in it but it's not a big deal. The sword is Fabulous though, and I am sure he will love it! It is a gift for my husband who loves SAO. He also has a replica of Cloud's buster sword so this will be an awesome addition. I will definitely be adding the second sword later for his birthday! I will update later with pictures once he gets to open it, because I had to quickly stash it before he walked in.

Overall I am not that pleased with my purchase. It is a good quality for what it cost and with the blade being metal. The tip of the handle fell of right after I took it out of the box but the packaging seemed pretty secure so that might not have happened in transit. The sheath was pretty greasy and there is some sort of white glue - like gunk on the inside that is all over the blade whenever I pull it out. Which is fine for cons since weapons have to be secured anyway, but if you want to take it out and show it off you'd have to clean it. I have also noticed that my sword looks very different than those pictured in other reviews. I plan on reviewing the ACTUAL product once it arrives. ☺

First let me say that I collect a lot of replica weapons from my favorite shows and films (I own replicas of Narsil, Gimli's Battle Axe, The Fighting Knives of Legolas, etc.) and I have been an avid weapon collector of all kinds for over ten years. The "Elucidator" replica that I purchased is honestly a great product for the price. The blade is 440 stainless steel and comes unsharpened, though you could easily sharpen it if you have the knowledge and means. The workmanship is about a B+ as some of the colored areas (like the silver stars on the hilt) are a little bit sloppy. For the price, I can look past the little flaws for the fact that the blade itself is very straight. In the past when buying replica weapons this has been an issue 50% of the time, the sword or blade being bent or curved when it shouldn't be. The weight was surprisingly heavier than what I was expecting and that's always a plus.Overall, the price is right for this replica and I would definitely recommend it for any hardcore SAO fans that want something awesome to hang on their wall for all their friends to be jealous of.
