It does a wonderful job of immobilizing the wrist joint while still leaving the fingers free to move. Easy to get on - has one larger velcro strap that encompasses the wrist and another, shorter, velcro strap that winds around between the thumb and forefinger. The fit is customizable, however, I find that the thumb strap 'bites' a little when the velcro rubs on the thumb. Pulling it tighter to get the velcro past that point sometimes makes the brace a little too tight. You sweat a little bit under the brace because it is neoprene. I just remove it periodically during the day to let things dry out. Otherwise, this is a very comfortable brace to wear. I lost the use of my hand in a car accident and my doctor wanted me to wear a support that kept my hand from dropping. It does a great job of supporting that joint. I bought this product and was very happy with it. I can put it on with a nice snug fit and it supports my hand and wrist well. After a few days my wrist feels mUchiha better. I only have two minor cons to this product 1) there was a strong chemical smell when I took it out of the packaging, the first time I wore it the smell stayed on my hand after I took it off. The more I use it the less smell there is. I've also sprayed it with an odor removing spray and that worked well. 2) the end of the velcro strap (where the velcro meets the material) has a but of an edge to it which results in rubbing against my thumb.
