Review: Excellent Home Phone System - We are very happy with the Panasonic KX-TGF353N DECT 3-Handset home phone system. Much better audio quality than our previous cordless phones. Complete phone book integration between the corded base and the cordless handsets is great, plus if you need it, each cordless handset can have their own separate speed dials for different members of the family. Programming is no worse than anything else you program these days - just read the instructions and follow the menus. Sometimes the cordless menus are slightly different from the corded base and one menu set might be easier to navigate than the other. If you just want to use the phones without programming anything, they will work fine. The quality of the answering machine is good and we have received no complaints so far from our regular callers. This phone system has some useful programmable options and a reasonable manual to guide you through the process. The color of the phones is a welcome departure from black which most other models seem to be. The cordless handsets seem durable but I would not want to see how well they survive a drop on concrete. The screens are easy to read - date and time are set by the phone company and are accurate. Speaker-phone option is duplex and works very nice. Belt clips on the cordless handsets are optional in case you don't need them but I think they give just a bit more to hold onto while you talk. As always, there will be issues that reviewers mention and I thought it was odd that Panasonic provided the rechargeable batteries for the cordless handsets but did not provide the same rechargeable batteries for the power outage backup system on the corded phone. Nonetheless, that being a minor inconvenience to have to provide for yourself, this is a great phone system and I highly recommend it to you.

**Q: can the base unit with corded phone be mounted to wall? is that part included?**
A: Good Question! Yes, the base is Wall Mountable and Yes the required hardware is included in the package.I hope that this helps.Thank you Jack UFoundThePlace

**Q: Does the corded base unit still work without electricity?**
A: Yes, if you install batteries for the battery backup. We were pleasantly surprised that the corded base as well as the handsets  continued to work when our electricity went out during a storm. The batteries should be kept fresh if you are counting on them to last through an extended storm. They are not helpful if the main phone line from the service junction to the house is down.

**Q: Does it come with a back up battery? And is it rechargeable? Does base unit act as a chargeing unit for back up battery until theres a power outage?**
A: While the cordless handsets DO come with supplied rechargeable NiMH batteries, the base unit does not--although you CAN insert batteries into the base unit for battery backup in case of a power outage (it takes 2 AAA size batteries, either NiMH rechargeable or alkaline)  However, if you rely on a modem for your phone service, a power failure will knock out your modem, rendering the base unit batteries pointless.

**Q: One review says there's no light to indicate a new message or phone in use, another says there is a light.  Which one is correct?**
A: If you are using the built in answering machine - yes, there is a light for messages.  But if you use the voicemail that comes with your phone service (Verizon) then you will only see a message on the screen, not a flashing light.  You will get the stutter tone that the phone company sends when you pick up the receiver.

We are very happy with the Panasonic KX-TGF353N DECT 3-Handset home phone system. Much better audio quality than our previous cordless phones. Complete phone book integration between the corded base and the cordless handsets is great, plus if you need it, each cordless handset can have their own separate speed dials for different members of the family. Love the call block feature but have a hunch it will fill up fast. It was just the joy of sending the spammers to call block land! 🤣🤣🤣 The volume is a little less than expected when using speaker option on the handsets. It is good on the base unit. We added another handset. Read the manual to pair it if you do this. It is all right there. You must be next to the base unit with both plugged in to power receptacle. Nice color change from black and silver. Notice: may be difficult for non techies to set up features or pair additional devices.
