Strawberry Red Laces * 2 Lb Bag, Quality Licorice Laces

Really good. Just like when I was a kid

I love licorice and these had good reviews so I ordered them - that was mistake #1. The licorice was in a big bunch and hard as a rock, but some reviews said to open them up and let them breathe and they will separate - that was mistake #2. No change. The lump sat there, it was greasy and sticky and stuck to the plate I had it on. When the lump remained, I tried to twist it apart and tease some strands loose - mistake #3. While it started to unwind, it also started to break into pieces. I tasted one and it was okay, had a strawberry flavor, but tasted more of the shortening and corn starch than the licorice. They are also very chewy and hard, not soft (which is sort of okay because I like a chewy licorice, but the texture is probably because they are stale and not because they were made this way.) Realizing this is a lost cause, and the bag was probably stale or had been heated and melted in shipping or something, I went to my order to get a replacement - and there's the biggest mistake #4. You can't return these. and there is no place to ask for replacement of the bad product. Guess I should have looked for that before ordering. So, no licorice for me. I can probably stand to use a few pounds anyway, but throwing $12 away is still no fun. I do think that if they decide to remake the movie 'The Blob', this licorice could fill the leading roll. Wonder what Steve McQueen would think about it.....

Devious flavor wrapped and sealed nice to keep the individual strings soft and fresh. Reminds me of my fondest childhood memories of the candy store. Definitely worth the money and delivery arrived on time, if not sooner. Great snack anytime of the day.

This appeared to be a good deal when I purchased it, but I likely won't purchase again. The price was right for the amount that you get and I enjoyed the texture. The flavor, however, was very light or muted. It's not nearly as tasty or "fresh" as other red laces we have purchased in the past. I guess this would be good for someone that doesn't want a strong flavor.

I have written to the seller of this product. It can not be returned or refunded. The licorice will not seperate into shoelaces. It breaks instantly. The taste in my opinion is horrible. My husband agreed and told me to throw it in the garbage. Made in Turkey is on the label. Update: The seller has offered to replace the item and mentioned that the weather conditions of shipping may have played a role in the condition in which I received the licorice. They have offered to replace it! Thank you very much!!

I used to purchase laces similar to these in corners stores for my wife but they are no longer available anywhere! I was hoping to find them here and sure enough, these are what she wanted! They were fresh and easy to pull apart & separate! Thank you, this will definitely be an ongoing purchase!

Tasteless, waxy. I buy a lot of licorice and I never had one this bad.
