MS-6RT Commercial 200W Electric Meat Slicer w/ Teflon Blade (Red)

This operates exactly like the larger models at your local deli. Runs very quiet, simple adjustment via front wheel, cuts easily. It sits securely on the counter, but it is rather heavy, so try to find a permanent home. You don't need to disassemble for daily cleaning - set to 0 thickness and hold a wet kitchen towel or paper towel against the front then back of the blade while running it - this removes 90% of the residue. Turn off, wipe down surfaces, then dry. Be careful, the blade is sharp. The only downside is the small cutting area. You won't fit the largest deli meats here, but most reasonably sized meats and cheeses can be cut.

The slice is great, works well and a solid build quality which to me is worth the extra $$. The box it comes in is labeled 6in slicer, the blade is actually the advertised 7.67in when I measured it. It has to be disassembled every time to clean, and the blade is very sharp which makes less straight forward than a typical appliance I recommend getting some Kevlar gloves or other type of cut resistant ones.

Cuts great but slides on counter top.

This is an outstanding slicer. Extremely well constructed, high quality parts, precision design, and exceptionally quiet. We use it primarily for slicing homemade un-cured, smoked bacon. For those concerned about the slicer not having enough depth to cut the full length of bacon, we have found that it works best to just cut the pork belly section in half before slicing. This makes for shorter bacon strips of course, which we prefer anyway because they are much easier to cook. We run a couple of pork bellies through the slicer every few months, and it runs for a couple hours straight without overheating. Blade stays sharp and hasn’t needed sharpening yet.

Overall the appearance & finish are great - but the feet slide on countertops (would be great if the feet were suction cups!) and when I sliced cheese & meat, it would grab some of the material between blade & brace and fling it out the back of the machine, all over the countertop & backsplash... I took it completely apart to clean & am hopeful it's just the way the feed tray was adjusted from the factory, since the reveal around the blade was uneven. I've got it tweaked now for an even reveal against the blade & I think/hope that will help. On the good side, I managed to slice up a brisket as thin as deli roast beef - the kids (& I) loved it!

I are very happy with this slicer. Works great and looks great with its deep red color. Having worked in the restaurant business for over 35 yrs and using a professional slicer almost daily this slicer does a great job. I highly recommend this product.

Very nice, high quality meat slicer. Bought one for my son in law 7 years ago and it has run perfectly ever since. Just purchased one for our new house and we love it!

Item is a solid product, but, I would include a pair of cut proof gloves because the first thing a guy has to do is take the unit apart and wash everything to remove any oils, or other non-edible residues of manufacture or assembly/packaging. And that includes the blade. Yes, your guide tells us to use cut proof gloves, and take the necessary precautions. but it's a buzzkill when you have to wait till the gloves come in to use the unit. I know companies can acquire a cheapo pair of cut gloves and pass that cost in the unit - Not only would I have still purchased it, that addition would have solidified the model as my choice.
