No ticking
Have a 2002 Silverado change the oil with manuf spec 5w-30 at every 3000 miles. I have 150k now. It still ticks from the oil not getting to the heads and lubing the lifters after the first cold start of the day and even after a few miles in colder weather. I tried Lucas HD Oil Stab. No more ticking it DOES get into the head and STAY there until, the next cold start, when most of the wear and tear takes place. Thanks Lucas Oil
