I've seen this claim many times elsewhere -- Himalayan Pink salt contains 84 necessary minerals -- and that's just silly. I once traced it down to the original claim ... and all the person writing it had done was to basically go through the Periodic Table of the Elements. Ignorantly -- you neither need nor want toxic elements like lead and mercury and cadmium and chromium and cobalt in your body. But happily I'm confident that this salt block contains very low concentrations of those elements, or essentially none at all.

All manner of wildlife love these salt blocks. They hold up surprisingly well in the rain. I put mine on old close cut tree stumps then the salt soaks into the wood and stays for a long time and the wood can be licked as well

This is a great product. I use them to provide free choice vitamins and minerals to my horses. My only complaint is the way the package arrived. The box is tore up and smashed in spots. I ordered 2 4lb blocks - one of which is perfectly fine - the other is broken in half and in other spots; the plastic wrap around the block is torn open and pieces of the block are loose in the box. I feel that I spent enough money on this product and on Prime to warrant my packages coming in good condition.

I put this out to give the deer some salt. In a rough winter they use it regularly. It will last quite a while even weathering the rain. Good product for the cost if you like to see deer come by.

Whatever it is about this product the deer refused to eat this. I tried to send it back but because it is a food item they wouldn’t approve a return. So there went my money wasted.

This salt lick lasted for a very long time in our back yard. we used it for the deer that pass through the yard. I propped it up on a wood stand with drainage in case it rained. Was worth the spend because we surely had more deer encounters after we put this out compared to before.

When I opened the package it crumbled. It looked fine while wrapped in the package. I don't know if the animals will take to licking it--it's a waiting game right now until it's discovered.

Great salt block for my two horses on hot Florida days.
