My Granddaughter loves Butterflies.
We go every year to the Butterfly Exhibit and She loved seeing and watching the butterflies fly around. I saw this on Amazon and sent it to her. They had such a nice learning experience, I would do it again. A wonderful idea for children of all ages.

Great book for young Butterfly lovers
This book is excellent for young butterfly lovers! It has a lot of useful info and beautiful pics. I purchased this along with the Insect Lore - Butterfly Growing Kit - Butterfly Garden as a birthday gift for a 5-year-old! She loved them both! The kit didn’t have any accompanying info on butterflies, so this book was a great companion piece!

Great series, even for toddlers!
My 2 year old LOVES this entire series of Nat. Geo Readers... I have purchased about 25 different titles, "pre-readers" as well as Level 1 & 2 readers. She loves them all & will ask for certain ones. The "pre-readers" level books are extremely simple & great because she memorizes the words & can "read" it herself. We love the more advanced ones too, because there is more information to talk about. I have learned quite a few facts, myself!) What a great series. The price is reasonable & pictures are great. These are really getting her interested in nature, animals & science... I will continue to buy these as they are released, for our collection!

Great pictures.
This is such an amazing book. We bought it to go along with a butterfly garden! I thought it would be a great addition to our learning experience with the live caterpillars and butterflies. I have six kids - and wow - they are just amazed. The book is very helpful. As always, National Geographic is spot on with the beautiful photographs. It is a Level 1 book so it is just right for kids who are beginning to read on their own. My toddler loved to follow along with this book - as well as his older siblings. It has approximately 32 pages and they are each filled with wonderful facts and pictures. Your kids will love it - and they will learn something! Can't beat that.

Its ok. I think a lot of parents expected ...
Its ok. I think a lot of parents expected more words and definitions, but this is for beginning readers. No need to frustrate a child learning how to read with an excess of new words! This is more of an assisted early reader, many new words for my 5 year old, with a manageable level of frustration for him, not enough to be a deterrent, but enough to need a parent right there to help him read.

Great!
I gifted a caterpillar kit to my son's class and thought it would be fun to have something to read that correlated. This book is good for reading to children, as well as for kids who are able to do some reading on their own. The pictures are beautiful: bright, clear, and relevant to the text. The text is simple and concise, yet very informative for young scientists. There are fun facts and riddles for kids throughout the book as well. Overall, would definitely recommend, mainly for kindergarten to maybe even 2nd grade. His teacher is thrilled with it as well.

My family (adults included) love the Nat Geo Kids animal books. The photographs are excellent, and my kids love to learn cool facts about animals. I have also used these books in my classroom and they are always a hit. Kids love animals!

My daughter is dyslexic, so it’s sometimes difficult to find books she can read independently, as the text is very simple, not to many lines of text, just short sharp information, she doesn’t get bored trying to focus on ‘wobbling jumbled letters’ as can happen with a full page of writing, and as a non - fiction, that’s what she needs! Along side our science about garden nature, it’s fab!

What a perfect little book. It’s simple and easy to read yet gives my daughter a good explanation about the butterfly’s life cycle. Pictures are amazing.

I absolutely loved this book! Caterpillar to Butterfly makes learning so much fun and engaging for all ages. The facts are presented in a way that’s easy to understand, with vibrant photos and a clear layout that keeps kids (and even adults!) interested. It’s perfect for early readers and curious minds. National Geographic did a great job turning science into a fun adventure. Highly recommend adding this to your home or classroom library!
