Replaced the lost button on my medium sized Weber Q Grill. Works perfectly. Recommend.

Works but not when full latched
The igniter button will not when fully locked into the igniter module. Can’t figure out why. Both the igniter button and module are supposed to be Webber replacement parts. Original button that came with the igniter coil module never worked properly and too lots of finagling to get the spark to work. On the new one (I paid for) it works ok if I insert it into the module, with out locking it. But this is not right. Will contact Weber. I will rotate the Button 180 degrees and lock it and see if that works. Update: Did the rotation and that worked.

Does not fit our Q120
Looks like good quality. However, it DOES NOT fit our Q120 even though that is listed above.

The One Thing I Needed
Recently, I bought a used Weber 1200 Grille. He said that it was almost new. It looked great, but I should have checked it more thoroughly as it was missing the ignitor switch. I kind of panicked until I found this on Amazon. Very easy to put it and works very well. So now I'm happy I got the grille. Also, for those thinking of getting one, I highly recommend it because it's easy to install and seems to work every time!

Design change (without notice) from older style
Weber changed the design of the unit making it unusable for older grills despite it being listed as workable on the selected model number.

Perfect replacement
My 1 year old Q grill was visited by a raccoon that tore the button assembly apart. I checked the Weber website and they were out but found it here on Amazon and it arrived the next day. Put a battery in and installed the button and I'm back to grilling.
