Vizio XRT122 TV Remote for E Series Models

Works well with my old Vizio TV. I dropped my original remote off my bed and it snapped the back off and possibly messed up the circuit board inside since it ceased to function right after. For under $10 this was branded, worked very well and it had the smart TV buttons that my old one did which was a huge plus. That TV has been relegated to a guest one now so that remote doesn't see a ton of action but whenever it does it seems to work consistently. Overall, good price, good functionality, would buy again if needed.

Vizio XRT122 TV Remote for E Series Models I must admit, I was mad at first because the item I received was not the OEM XRT122 remote. And it did not even resemble the remote pictured in the listing. The one flaw it has is that it does not have the iHeart Radio button, instead, this one has a button for something called MGO. MGO is not installed on my Vizio TV and I have no idea what it is. But I can still get to iHeart Radio by pressing the main Visio button, so no biggie. The best surprise for me was the discovery that this remote is actually better than the OEM XRT122. On this remote, all of the buttons are backlit!!! This is totally worth the loss of the iHeart Radio button, and now that I have had time to play around with this remote, I take back all of the negative things I left in my original review of the product. It is not the same remote pictured in the original listing... It is better! See images for comparison.

I ordered a remote because we couldn't find any of the other remotes in our home and it was driving us crazy. Between our 4 year old and the three Vizio TVs in our home, we could rarely find the remote. Luckily I have the Vizio remote app on my smart phone, but my husband's phone won't work with that app so when I worked or was at school they didn't watch anything. One of our TVS needs a remote to turn on and off, there is no button on the side to use it. This remote works even with how fickle my older Vizio can be. I took a little video to help show it working, the only thing the Video doesn't show is the iheartradio button working and that's because the TV I tested it on in the video apparently doesn't have that app. IT worked on my other two TVs though. This is by no means the best remote nor the fanciest. We have a few models with the keypads with letters, but our daughter and foster dogs have been destroying those so we didn't want to get another one like that until she's more mature and responsible. This remote is perfect for our main room that we use it in, it's easy enough for a 4 year old to use, literally. We mainly use it for youtube and netflix. Overall, this is a great purchase for the price and it's delivered right to your door in just a few days.

The problem with "inheriting" TVs is that sometimes you don't get the instructions AND the remote is missing or broken. I got a TV with a remote that NEVER worked! Would never power on my TV so I got used to using the inconvenient side buttons on this TV. Now, I found a remote that's universal for Vizio's E-line of TV sets (which includes my old 42" LED) and I'm happy that I have convenience again! The power button does work, and the volume button is fine. I do feel there's a tiny lag between power up and volume but I'll get used to this. The Smart functions (RE: streaming) Apps do not appear to work. That's okay -- the TV IS about 9 years old and I figured the "Smart features" would be out of date and obsolete. Heck, I have an old Sony Blu ray Player that has BETTER streaming options than most of today's Smart devices! Either that or something like a Roku or NVidia Shield would be better for streaming than what's built into this TV. Eh, I don't use my TV like that... I use it to watch Blu rays or play videogames on an old PS3 console. The remote does the basics that I wanted -- INPUT control, volume control, picture adjustment, and Power On/Power Off. Those are the basics I wanted. I got more than I expected for $7. Definitely a nice remote option for those of us with E-series and older sets like I have...

I’ve bought more of these than I care to count! They work perfectly as a replacement. Would definitely recommend.

Our puppy chewed up our remote so I needed a replacement. This was less expensive than the Samsung brand and it actually had an Amazon Prime button (which I use) instead of Kumo (which I've never heard of). When I got the remote, it looked identical to the original and worked great. Maybe I'm imagining it, but I swear it has better range than the original too. I ended up buying a second one so we have a backup when the first inevitably gets lost in the couch. I would definitely recommend it

Omg this remote works perfectly and my dog loves it. He chewed it up and i mean the whole top was just covered in his teeth marks. I thought it wouldnt work bc it was all bent at the top and everything but guess what chewed up and all and it still works. I'm so surprised y'all bc seriously he did a number on it. I mean ya okay i have to really press the power button down really hard but I still turns the tv on and off. Who would have thought it would make a great chew toy for my pit?!?! I'm just courious is it covered in meat juices or something bc he really went to town on it.
