The bridge connected automatically to my WiFi without any issues. I can connect from anywhere to see if my door is locked. The fact that I can lock or unlock from anywhere is great. I really like this feature. The lock itself is another issue. The finger touch is a bit quirky. It doesn’t always work. Most times I have to try two or three times to open the door. The away auto lock feature is nice. It seems to work as described. The Auto Unlock feature works but I have to wait a few seconds after I’m close to the lock for it to activate. I wish it would unlock from a further distance so the door is unlocked when I get to it. I have been using the lock only for a few days so I think the jury is still out on the lock. 2/23/24

As what the product description states that we can work on the app remotely outside of house miles away through internet connection. It's very convenient and powerful. I can authorize to a temporary user with specified time and dates. I even can remotely unlock the lock but the unlock time is very short that may only valid for 2-3 seconds. I can do all things through the app remotely without to be near the lock 3 meters within. When I add the new use with the same ID prefix with all zeros, when I tap on the sync user, the app is smart enough to consolidate both same user that I crated through the lock setting that doesn't require 4 digit but just one digit ID into one same user. The issue I found is that from time to time there appears "User 0" that is ghost user when I tap on the sync user. When I tap on that user, the app terminated by itself. Remember, to use this remote control, you need to go taping on the lock tab to get the internet synced. This part of work is little bit tricky. The connection usually take time to get synced. Once it gets synced, the connect may lost easily if you move away your location even just few steps even though you are right next either the bridge device, lock or wifi router. I find checking the log remotely most practical to me. I can know who and when which user enter the house at anytime and at anywhere. I love the feature of getting notification through email when particular user is unlocking the lock; unfortunately, the setup cannot be complete after tapping the the "next" button when finishing filling all the valid fields in the form, it states "Notice Time out, please try again!" No matter how many times I have tried, it just never succeed and keep seeing the same message. The other wonderful feature I can use through the app is adding user with the code and fingerprints without keep punching the door lock's keypad. The only confuse part is the instruction states to press the fingerprints for 2 times while the indicators shows 6. After contacted the vendor and realized the instruction has not been updated and should just tap for 6 times instead of 2. Overall, I am pretty happy with it and satisfy the features. Love to be able to use it remotely from anywhere anytime!

Worked about 3 months, now won’t stay connected to WiFi. Have to reboot it every two days. Terrible reliability. To U-tec's credit, they addressed the problem by sending me a replacement bridge. Let's hope the first one was just a fluke!

I am not sure how this thing has anything above a one star. It flat out does not work with Google assistant. The IFTTT only has a lock and unlock and they also do not work with Google assistant. The lock IFTTT is only for show and serves no function. There is only 3 settings on the lock and the app. There is a Normal setting which stays locked all the time and only unlocks for about 4 seconds at a time. There is a Passage setting that stays unlocked all the time and you cannot lock it in this setting, which makes the lock function useless. The 3rd and final setting, Lockout will disable any means to unlock the lock, the admin will have to change the setting to unlock. I am using this with the UL3 and all of these fancy settings are a crafty illusion that only give the impression of functionality. It is either locked (Normal status) or unlocked (Passage stays), that's it. When it is unlocked, set to Passage, there is no way to lock it without changing the status. The button is useless and there is no easy way to switch the status and no way to automate it. There is no code or figure print management on the app or anywhere else but the key pad on the lock. The connection between the bridge and the lock is completely unstable, even 6 feet apart from each other and the wifi router. The lock/unlock button, the two IFTTT routines, and the fancy app are all an elaborate scheme to give the impression of functionality. Both the door lock and the bridge are one of the worse purchases I've ever made. At best it is a controlled access lock but it most definitely is not a smart lock.

ULTRALOQ Bridge working great.

I purchased this bridge to use with an Ultraloq that uses Matter. I wanted to be able to connect to the lock from outside my home using Wi-Fi. I installed the lock and the bridge, but could not get it to work with Google Assistant. Had to put in a ticket with Ultraloq support. They apparently updated the firmware on the bridge, and then Google Assistant began working. Occasionally the bridge will lose its connection and need to be rebooted. This is a pain. Hopefully it doesn't happen next time I'm away from home and need to connect to the lock. Hopefully in the future as more Matter devices become available I can replace this one-trick pony with a Wi-Fi-to-Matter hub. Until then, I must rely on it.

UPDATE: AS OF 9/9/2025 Utec support has replaced all of my products and every thing is working beautifully again. Thank you so much for a company that cares about its loyal customers!!! I recommend this lock for everyone’s safety needs. Great access and now no issues. Peace of mind is priceless. DISREGARD FURTHER- I have bought two of these in the span of a year… both having issues connecting to wifi and will not work. I am using 2.4ghz on both my phone and device. I’m really disappointed with two failed products. Not to mention the one I received today was supposed to be NEW but was clearly used and thrown around in the box + had finger prints / dirt all over the device. Guess I will have to switch to a new lock company :(
