Knipex 13 86 200 SB Pliers for Electrical Installation VDE-tested in blister packaging

Great pliers I use the when am doing finishing work on electrical outlets and finishing panels I only use this and a screwdriver and that's it. The quality of the tool is really good they open and close one handed and they cut like butter thru cables as well as removing the insulation and since they're rated 100 I and so use them in live circuits.

Nothing but the best pliers as far as I am concerned. There are a lot of good competitive brands out there that are equivalent but I made my bed with this brand long ago and I want to remain consistent :)

Knipex do I need to say anything else!

Amazing quality and very handy, use it every day.

These are a great pair of pliers but the crimpers don't allow you the leverage required for dependable crimping. The addition of 18 gauge strippers would make this a better tool for HVAC techs. I like the smooth surface on the point of the pliers that allow you to grab wires without damaging the wire insulation. The heavy insulation on the handles feels safer when working with high voltage.

Pliers handles feel is Ok but they are too narrow and I tend to get my finger in between ( I'm 6' 180 pounds). Also, it would be nice if the handles had a spring so they can open without the need to get your fingers in between to push the handles apart. Cutting blades and wire strips are great but not enough greatness to keep them. So much for german engineering. I would not buy these again.​
