They are light weight and made of real leather, and the leather looks very high quality. They have excellent traction on the bottom so they can be used for hiking, working, or dressy casual wear. I wear them when we go out to eat because they look so nice. They have a padded collar around the ankle for extra comfort. I didn't need to break them in or add insoles; they are just super comfortable right out of the box. They fit true to size, which is great because I usually have a problem with boots being too narrow in the toes, but these fit perfectly. I love them. I just conditioned mine with BICK 4 leather conditioner and they look like new again after many months of wearing them. The leather conditioner makes any scuff marks dissappear and keeps them from cracking. Leather must be conditioned or it will crack and fade. These are boots that are made to last! I highly recommend them.

A: D is standard with.  2E is extra wide.  The shoe runs narrow even for me, and I have narrow feet.

**Q: Can you put black wax on them**
A: I don't see why not. I supposed they will still show brown but darker and darker with repeated applications. If you're after black boots, try a blackdye before

A: around 1kg. It is quite light for a pair of hiking shoes
