Mint Chocolate Rescue All-Natural Alginate Therapy, Acid Reflux, GERD, LPR, Heartburn Relief, Made from All Natural Ingredients Considered Safe for Children and Pregnant Women

Three people in my family tried this product. It did not work for one, but for the other two, this is the best product we have tried. It is easy to swallow despite being quite thick. The texture is not very appealing since it is an odd thickness, but the flavor makes it taste much better. I appreciate the natural ingredients that are used in the product. If this ends up working for you, it is an excellent product, but it isn’t a universal solution. It is quite expensive for something that may not work.

Having reflux for decades and refusing to accept the risk and side effect of PPI's, and trying a very expensive failed surgery to correct, I depend on as-needed and Safe supplement products that tamp down stomach acid and protect the esophagus by putting a 'float' over the stomach contents. I've successfully used different ones, usually chewable tablets and some for many years, but all are somewhat gritty and chalky, so recently coming across Reflux Gourmet which is a paste in a tube and in different flavors, I decided to try it out. Hands-down this product has turned out to be the best-tasting, totally working, easy to use product in this category I've ever tried. A non-gritty, great flavored smooth paste that one eats off a teaspoon, or what I do, squeeze into mouth (not in polite company ;-) and it just works.. And to top it off after a couple months while trying it out it I had an issue with the dispensing tube it's supplied in, and customer support was so pleasant and helpful in resolving it to (more than) my satisfaction.. A Great Product from a Great Company, -what more could one want!

I’ve had acid reflux for years and recently it had gotten worse. My gastro guy suggested I take 2 doses of the acid reflux stuff that works for me. I’m one of those people that need to use Prevacid (Lansoprazole) versus the others to get relief. At one point I had burn spots the length of my esophagus that was causing chest pains, so it was bad. I got the burn spots under control, but despite taking 2 pills every day of Lansoprazole, I still felt pretty rocky in the AM. Initially I just took 2 in the AM and then switched to 1 in the AM, 1 in the PM, but still there was that irritation in the AM. Still I was on a high dose. A former colleague of mine when we had a Christmas get together passed on information for this reflux gourmet stuff. Honestly I was skeptical at first. However you hear horror stories about long term uses of meds like lansoprazole and I was at a high dose for several years. This stuff looked a whole lot safer, if it worked. Well it worked. From the first day to the tenth. I take a teaspoon of this at bedtime and I wake up, irritation free. While I still take 1 lansoprazole in the AM, I plan to discontinue that as well. Not sure if I will need a teaspoon of this to take its place or not, as my biggest issue is at night. No hard ship, though, it is tasty. Cost wise the lansoprazole was $13 for 42 pills. For me that was $0.62/day, if I take 2 pills/day This tube has 47 servings at $28. So that would be $0.59/day if I take it once/day. So it is also at a better cost, without the side effects.

Product works pretty well for reflux w/o the side effects of increased blood pressure that some meds cause. I purchased the mint chocolate. Great flavor and the texture is somewhat like chocolate ice cream syrup. I would have given 5 stars but the packaging needs work. After the second use the seal broke at the end of the tube and the product would ooze out the back end.

Works better than I expected. The mint chocolate flavor is actually pleasant, not medicinal, and it kicks in pretty quickly after meals. I noticed less burning and that uncomfortable reflux feeling, especially at night. Not a cure, but it definitely helps manage symptoms if you use it consistently.

This product works good. But the tube doesn’t seal good. If you store it sitting on the lid, like most things that come in a tube, it leaks out. I had the whole tube empty over night and leak out of the medicine cabinet and all down the wall.
